Zelda PoV

The kid is strange. He has round ears like Gerudo but he doesn't seem like one. He's tiny too. He's just a foot smaller than Link. I started to stare at him and examine his facial features.  He had auburn eyes, lightning bolts on his cheeks, and had raven black hair. He was struggling with his clothes... well Link's clothes. 

"Darn... it... come... on," Ash said struggling with his leather strap

I just rolled my eyes

"Come on Ash we're almost there"

"Finally!"

"Keyword: almost"

"Aww man!" he let out a deep sigh

We kept on walking when Ash said:

"Soo... Zelda? Was it? Can you tell me about yourself"

"You first"

"I already did"

Damn it he's right!

"I'm... a Merchant"

He just gave me a weird look. I have kinda felt his auburn eyes burn into my soul. Oh, I've made him suspicious haven't I?

"Whatever" I heard him mumbled

A small wave of relief washed over me 

"We're here"

"Finally!"

We walked up to the owner of the stable.

"Hi, can we get 2 beds" I said

"Of course" he said

--- Next day ---

"Wake up Ash"

"..."

"Ash wake up"

"... I choose you"

"WAKE UP"

His eyes open slightly.

"Yeah yeah I'm up"

"Ok I've got a gift for you"

His shot wide open

"Gift? I love gifts!"

"here"

I held out a traveler's sword,shield, and bow. He gave me a confused look.

"I appreciate it but what is it for?"

God, this kid is so dumb!

"You saw the monsters back there. You will get mauled by one if you don't have a weapon. And with that I will take my leave."

"Wait-"

"See ya!"

Time to head back to the castle

Ash PoV

"See ya!"

And she's gone. I geuss I have to get going on my way. I started to walk down gravel path. All around me I saw building and buildings but nothing that looked familliar to me.

"AAAAGH!"

Sounds like someone is in trouble! I started to run towards the noise to see a giant pig like creature about to strike a traveler that seemed to have an injured leg.

"Stop it!"

I jumped in between them just to be swatted away.

"rrrgghh" I growled as I got back up

Seems like he wants to battle. But this will be me fighting not my pokemon. I reached behind and brought out my sword and shield. 

Wait, I don't know how to use a sword. Welp, never to late to learn, right?

"AAAAAHH" I yelled as I charged at pig-guy

His name is pig-guy now.

I got swatted away... again

I started to feel weak. And my legs felt like giving out. My vision was kinda blurry. 

Think Ash think!

I started to check my surroundings while keeping my eye on pig-guy. There were to pillars lined up and a boulder.  

I smirked 

I ran towards the pillars and yelled out

"Hey ugly! Over here!" I yelled out waving my arms around

That seemed to get its attention. It started to stomp over to my way. Once it got close and was about to swing I ran out of the way. With the force it swung with the club it broke when it hit the pillar thus surprising pig-guy and making him fall back. 

"Now!"

Its head made a thud on the boulder. I ran foward and engraved my sword into its skull with a jump and a stab of my sword. It disappered in a purple smoke.

"Thank you so much!"

I turned in surprised and saw the girl I saved. Whoops, I forgot about her.

"My name is Paya"

"Nice to meet you Paya. My name's Ash"

She smiled a small shy smile but then her face turned into a terrified expression. Before I could say anything. I heard a roar from behind.

OH ARCEUS

Paya looked at me and yelled out

"RUN!"
