~*Mierille POV*~

We're now sitting on the couch in the gym, the one that surrounds a firepit. My Grimer, newly re-named Sponge by my brother's demands, is sitting on my lap.

The Pawniard is now known as Kusanagi, from Nathan's favorite anime, Naruto. He's keeping his distance from the fire, lying under his partner's chair.

Both of our Pokemon seem pretty content.

On the other hand, everyone who we attacked earlier look sorta uncomfortable.

Except one boy with brown spiky hair and goggles and his reptilian blue partner. They're helping themselves to the snacks Mama set out.

Nathan is the first one to actually say anything, and he only says, "Welcome to the gym."

That stupid statement earns him a whomp on the head by my Big Stick.

"So, um, why is it called a gym when..." The boy with blonde hair and a hat starts.

"Well, this is the gym and our mom is the gym Leader, if that explains anything." I mutter.

"Griiiime!" Sponge cuts in and headbutts my chair. "Griiime, Griiiiiiiiiiim-er!" He exclaims, headbutting my chair again.

"So I have a different question." The girl with magenta hair and glasses announces. "So what are those?" She points to Sponge and Kusanagi.

"Pokemon." We answer in unison. "They're Pocket Monsters!"

"Oh. Okay then."

By the time we finish telling them about Pokemon, the sun has gone down. It's about 7:45.

"Oh, wow! It's getting late." The girl with short brown hair notices, glancing out the big window. "We should really get going..."

"Come back tomorrow." Nathan instructs. "Any time after nine."

"Why nine?"

"I wake up at about 7. It will take me until about 9 to wake up the freak sitting next to me."

I hit him again. "Just come whenever." I tell them. "Now bye, nice having you."
