Ivy – Jessie's cousin from the Kalos region. Ivy was raised at a Pokemon Egg Care Center and waited until she found the perfect partner pokemon to start her journey. She starts her journey in the Kalos Region at age 17. Her parents were shocked at her decision to go on a pokemon journey since they had assumed she would be taking over the Egg Care Center, but they wished her luck in the end.

Infernape – Ivy's parents were given starters from the Sinnoh region to hatch on a trial basis. When Chimchar hatched he immediately became attached to Ivy. He was always following her around and trying to help her do her chores. Ivy realized that she never wanted to be parted from this sweet pokemon and contacted Professor Rowan to gain permission to train Chimchar herself. As a Chimchar he was a sweet and affable pokemon, and even as he evolved his kindness never faltered. He did, however, have an adventurous streak and he was the first non-legendary fire type pokemon to learn how to use Scald.

Shiny Espeon – Ivy and Chimchar traveled for several months together until the fateful day that Chimchar stepped on Eevee's tail. Eevee was furious and began battling Chimchar which eventually led to his capture. Eevee was always picked on because of his strange coloring but he finds acceptance with Ivy who calls him special. Eevee eventually evolves into a shiny Espeon who learns Dazzling Gleam and Iron Tail

Salamence – While Ivy was training with Eevee and Chimchar a small forest fire broke out near them. They immediately go investigate and find a wounded and tired Bagon in the middle of the fire. Ivy manages to rescue Bagon and takes him to the Pokemon Center, where they are able to send help to put out the flames and take care of Bagon. Later, Ivy finds out that Bagon's flamethrower was the cause of the forest fire because he ticked off a group of Slurpuff and he was trying to defend himself and set the forest on fire by accident. Ivy and Bagon form a deep bond and he allows her to catch him without a battle. They face a lot of challenges and even though Bagon evolves into a Shelgon fairly quickly but does not evolve into a Salamence until the very last gym battle he fights in. Once evolved, Salamence is much larger than normal and incredibly intimidating (which coincidentally is his ability). Before the pokemon league, Ivy and Salamence are able to find a keystone and mega stone and Salamence goes up against Alain's Mega Charizard in an epic battle.

Krookodile – Ivy catches Sandile right after defeating the rock gym, after Chimchar evolves into Monferno. Sandile loves to battle and is constantly looking for a fight but is gentle and kind outside of battle. He evolves quickly because he is always rushing into fights but as he evolves he develops a protective side towards the newer members of Ivy's team and acts almost like a big brother to them.

Roserade – Budew was caught in the crossfires of a Team Rocket attack while Ivy was traveling with Ash and friends. Jessie decided that she wanted Budew for herself and Ivy wouldn't allow her to poison such a cute pokemon with her evil ways. Jessie and Ivy battled each other, with Ivy coming out on top, and they both tried to convince Budew to join them. Budew chose Ivy, hiding from Jessie behind her legs and she became Ivy's pokemon. Budew was very non-confrontational and took a while to evolve since she didn't like battling. However, after she evolved as a Roselia and she saw all of her friends evolving, she decided to try and change herself. After being given a Shiny Stone and evolving into a Roserade, she grew into herself and found joy in battling side by side with Ivy. Roserade learned many moves, but she was especially good at poison type moves which seemed to have extra power to them.

Aurorus – A truly rare find. As Ivy was traveling in the northern part of Kalos a terrible blizzard blew up and separated her from her pokemon. Desperate, she searched and searched for her pokemon, calling out to them in spite of the wind. Amaura heard her scared calls and went to her, bringing her to a cave where she could take shelter from the storm and where she found her pokemon all waiting for her. They joyfully reunited and seeing the love that she had for her pokemon, Amaura decided to battle with Ivy who then captured her. She had an instant crush on Shelgon, who treated her like a child. During the Pokemon League though she evolved into Aurorus and when Salamence saw her evolved form and how much she had matured he ended up falling for her as well.

Plotline: Ivy was the character that I inserted into the Pokemon X&Y anime to create a new romantic subplot for Alain. Ivy travels through the Kalos region becoming friends with Ash and the crew and she bumps into Alain several times. She is focusing on the league and in this version, Ivy was the one facing off against Alain in the League Semi-finals and their battle is super epic, but Alain does end up winning in the end. However, afterward during the intensity of the Team Flare Ivy fights alongside Ash and Alain and she and Alain end up together in the end :P
