Fuyuki & ???

Fuyuki grew up in Postwick as Hop's next-door neighbor. They did everything together and from the time they could talk they had planned out their pokemon teams and dreamed of going on a pokemon journey together. They had always planned for Hop to get a Scorbunny as his starter and Fuyuki would get a Sobble, because Hop wanted to give her an advantage as rivals. However, two weeks before Fuyuki's tenth birthday, her Dad was given a huge promotion and instructed to open up their accounting firm's new branch in Alola. Heedless of their daughter's heartbreak, the family packed up and moved to Alola, wrenching the two friends apart.

To help with the sudden separation their parents gifted the two kids with Poke Communicators that worked like cell phones and as the two went through their pokemon journeys in their home regions they kept in almost constant contact. Because of her parents' feelings of protectiveness for their daughter, they insisted that she remain on Alola with them until she turned sixteen. During that time, she threw herself into her training, spending hours and hours exploring every inch of the four islands and helping her pokemon become stronger. When she turned fifteen she re-challenged the island challenge in order to qualify for the Pokemon League. Not only did she qualify, but she managed to reach the very top and became the League Champion. She had the chance to battle the current Island Champion, but she declined and instead used her victory to convince her parents that she was ready to go traveling to other regions on her own. They reluctantly agreed and after celebrating her 16th birthday they sent her on her way back to Galar.

Once back, she couldn't wait to meet up with Hop, who she was still completely in love with. When they were reunited he welcomed her with open arms, but she felt that something was a little off. She and Hop spent the whole afternoon together, talking about what they had gone through in their travels. Hop still hadn't managed to beat the Galar Champion Cup, but he was sure that this year would be his year. He invited Fuyuki to stay for dinner, which was going to be an outdoor barbeque, and of course, she accepted.

Unbeknownst to both of them though, Marnie had been invited to the barbeque as well by Leon. When she showed up and planted a kiss directly on Hop's lips in front of everyone, it was soon revealed that he and Marnie had been dating for several months. Fuyuki's young heart broke, but she tried her best to not show it. Hop felt incredibly guilty and awkward throughout the meal and when Leon suggested that he could sponsor Fuyuki so she could take part in the Galar league challenge she immediately accepted. Leon offered her a choice of the starters he had brought with him in case she accepted his offer, and to everyone's surprise, she chose Grookey. Fuyuki left Hop's house barely keeping her tears from falling and Hop watched her go, feeling horrendous for deceiving Fuyuki like that.

.... Okay, so this is pretty much all I've got for the story. There are SO many ways that this could go. Fuyuki obviously throws herself into her training once again since that has always been her coping mechanism and she becomes a beast, but I'm not sure who I would want her to end up with.

Should Hop break up with Marnie and reveal that he has never forgotten his feelings for Fuyuki? The reason they started dating in the first place was because he felt super depressed after hearing that Fuyuki had won her Alolan League while he still hadn't gotten to the champion battle. Marnie was there to buoy him up and they became united in their desire to continue forward with the goal of becoming the new Champion. But does he actually love Marnie? Or did he ever really love Fuyuki?

Or should she bump into the arrogant and misled Bede with an inferiority complex? Obviously he'll act like a jerk and pompously demand a battle while insulting her the whole time. The first time she would lose because she had been too depressed to pay full attention to the battle, but her loss would propel her forward and the next time they meet she becomes the victor. Would their constant bickering and rivalry eventually lead to a shouting match where they unload all of their stress and insecurities out on each other and discover they are actually more similar than they thought before? Would this spark a new feeling within the both of them that could lead to love? Or would they just stay as bitter rivals?

Or could a kindly, selfie-crazy gym leader happen to stumble on her when she's crying her heart out in the forest with her pokemon trying to comfort her? Raihan, feeling both awkward and a desire to help this sad stranger, would go up and do something ridiculous to shock her out of her train of thought and calm her crying. Fuyuki, deciding that it wouldn't matter if she unloaded on a stranger, tells her story to Raihan, who listens attentively and encourages her to do what she does best: train her pokemon and create lasting bonds with them so she could eventually kick the dumb jerk that led her on to the curb in a battle. When they run into each other later during Fuyuki's journey would Raihan be shocked at the change that came across the once depressed young girl as he now saw her beaming radiantly and commanding her pokemon like a pro? Would a spark be lit in his heart as he watched over her progress and began to realize that Fuyuki was definitely not just a helpless girl he found in the forest? Could Fuyuki fall for a guy eight years older than her with a big heart and an insane social media presence?

.... So yah... that is my predicament with Fuyuki >.< I have no idea who to put her with!!! Anyways, her background story is a little bit more involved but I don't actually know what her full team would look like :P It would ultimately depend on who I decided to eventually pair her with romantically as odd as that sounds :P But these would be the pokemon that I know she would have:

Shiny Ribombee - This is the only pokemon that Fuyuki took with her from her home in Alola. Her pokemon that she had trained and cared for so lovingly had all been requested by Professor Kukui to stay and help him with several research projects about pokemon moves that he had in progress. She and her pokemon had all agreed except for Ribombee, who was completely attached to Fuyuki and refused to leave her side for even a moment. Fuyuki often refers to her as "Sweet One". Ribombee is an incredibly timid pokemon when it comes to other trainers, but as soon as she is on the battlefield a flip is switched and she becomes nearly invisible from her insane speed and her accuracy helped her moves land even when she was going at such speed. Unfortunately, if a pokemon managed to slow Ribombee down, she was easily terrified and would sometimes lose a battle just from fainting from terror.

Rillaboom - When presented with the Galarian starters, all Fuyuki could think of was her and Hop's plans to travel together with a Scorbunny and Sobble. Seeing him with Marnie gripping his arm possessively caused her to snap and she snatched up the Grookey that was available without a thought. Grookey was an incredibly tender-hearted pokemon, and it made him confused to see his new trainer burst into tears at the most random moments of the day or during their training. To try and help her cheer up he came up with several different upbeat melodies that he tapped out against tree trunks, rocks, or sometimes even against Fuyuki's legs. The little pokemon becomes extremely dear to Fuyuki and they share a special bond as he evolves and grows stronger, to the point where he almost acts like an overprotective older brother to Fuyuki while she is trying to act like a stifling, proud older sister.

Grimmsnarl - Fuyuki has an adventurous streak. She loves to see every inch of the city or area she is staying in, which is how she found her way to the top of a rickety building where a man with an uncooperative Impidimp that he wanted to trade was relaxing. After some consideration, Fuyuki agrees to his terms, going out and capturing a docile Maractus that he had requested to trade for his uncooperative Impidimp. He soon found his match in stubbornness in Fuyuki though, who didn't put up with any funny business from the pokemon that she trained. He found that he enjoyed her intense training style and he quickly evolved all the way to a hulking Grimmsnarl. One of his favorite things was to try and scare poor Ribombee enough to cause her to faint, but that soon backfired because she got into the habit of releasing a giant Pollen Puff whenever he startled her, which nearly KO'd him from its intensity since Ribombee was actually extremely high leveled.

Toxtricity - Just like in the game, Fuyuki was gifted a Toxel egg in the first half of her journey through Galar. She raised Toxel carefully, doing her best to be nurturing and supportive as the baby pokemon grew and gained experience little by little. When Toxel eventually evolved into a Toxtricity everyone was shocked to see that it was the High Amp version. The once crybaby-Toxel was suddenly slamming out Overdrive attacks at the speed of sound and with more energy than Fuyuki could believe. He loved to battle and Fuyuki has to come up with several strategies on how to avoid his horrible 4X weakness against ground type moves but she loved her Toxtricity very much.

* * * * *

Okay, after this it would depend on who she was going to end up with. If Fuyuki ends up with Hop or Raihan then she would at some point be gifted an Applin (in the game they explain that it's considered romantic/a good luck charm for you to give an Applin to the one you love) which she would evolve into a Flapple. Honestly I can't see Bede ever going along with something like that... so she wouldn't get an Applin if she ends up with him :P Stubborn boy.

If she ends up with Bede they are going to have some MAJOR rivalry hatred to overcome before they develop feelings, so she would catch a Cufant and evolve it into a Copperajah specifically to combat Bede's fairy type pokemon.

If Fuyuki ends up with Raihan then there would be a scene where she and Raihan were hanging out after she successfully cleared a gym (maybe the Fire Type gym) and she could ask Raihan why he loved dragon types so much. He would go on and on gushing for a while and they would end the conversation with Raihan urging her to try raising a Galarian dragon type. In this case, after some research Fuyuki would choose to try and raise Dreepy into a Dragapult.

And finally, if Fuyuki does end up with Hop there is obviously going to be some tension going on between her and Marnie, and since Marnie favors dark types for her team, she would get a Sirfetch'd to smash through her team with his fighting type moves. Causing no small amount of awkwardness for Hop to swim through between the two girls fighting for his affections

So yah. Lots of questions and possibilities with that backstory :P This will be the last one that I update until I finally am able to buy my own switch and play through the newest games and DLC expansion again <3 I had to borrow my brother's to play through the first one, but I can't wait for the switch's to come back in stock so I can get one for myself!!! Take care everyone!
