Adventure 0: The Start of a New Journey!

July 12

Crimson

Location:Maple Laboratory, Fliura Town

                                                         "Crimson, wake up!"

"Mmm...five more minutes, Aunt Sylv." I groaned, my scarlet red eyes sleepily opening up. Even though my face was in my pillow, I knew she sighed, rolling her dark brown eyes. "Crimson, your Pokemon are up now." I huffed. "So? They usually get up earlier than me. It's not unusual."

I hear her sigh again. "Crimson, do you even know what today is?" "It's the middle of summer." I simply said. "Even deeper," Aunt Sylvia pressured.

"It's July. Why are you even asking me? You're the one with the calendar."

I heard her sigh, really agitated at me. "Arceus! Crimson, you're hopeless. What's the date today?"

"It's July 12th," I heard myself say. "Wait..." I shot up. "It's my birthday!" I yelled. My aunt gave me a really sarcastic look. "You finally guessed correctly. Anyhow..." She smiled. "You're 11 years old now. Which means you can now start your journey."

"Yes!" I pumped my fist up in the air. "That also means challenging all eight of Aolon's gyms, going to the Pokemon League, and then defeating the Champion!" "It also means filling up a Pokedex up for me as well." Aunt Sylvia said. My aunt's also known as Professor Maple, the famous Pokemon researcher of the Aolon region.

"I'll be downstairs. Get dressed and brush your hair. It looks like a Hoothoot's nest." My aunt left. I looked at my hair and then grabbed a hairbrush. Just then, my Riolu and Eevee scampered in as I eased the last tangle out of my hair. Eevee nuzzled against my leg while Riolu hopped on my shoulder. I smiled. "Hey you two," I said. "Give me five minutes, okay?" My Pokemon nodded as I went to pick out my outfit.

I chose a white tee under a black jacket with a red Poke Ball design on it with a yellow collar, a black pleated skirt, yellow finger-less gloves and leg warmers, and a white beanie hat with a black headband that had a red Poke Ball symbol on it. I decided to let my hair down, for now. I turned to my Pokemon. "How do I look?" Riolu gave me what looked like a thumbs-up while Eevee nodded. I grinned. "Alright, let's go!"

                                                                     [🌸]

"Nice outfit," Aunt Sylvia said. "Ready to pick your starter Pokemon?" I nodded. She smiled, throwing two Poke Balls up release a Treecko and a Mudkip. "Choose between these two Pokemon."  I already knew who I wanted as my starter. I walked up to Mudkip and crouched down to it. The Mud Fish Pokemon stared at me with curiousity.

I smiled at it. "Wanna travel with me, little fella?" Mudkip smiled as it jumped onto my shoulder, nuzzling against my cheek.

Aunt Sylvia gave me Mudkip's Poke Ball and a Pokedex. "Catch a lot of Pokemon, okay?" I nodded. "You know it!" "Oh, and another thing," She brought out a pair of black and red shoes. "It's a present from...your father."

I put them on. Perfect fit. a card that I found in the left shoe said: Happy Birthday. Love, Dad. A little anger sparked inside of me. Why did I get a gift from someone who wasn't always home and the one who had the idea to send me to live with his sister? As far as my brother (who got to stay with Mom in Johto. He's apparently a year older than me.) and I know, he left us when we were five and six.

I felt Aunt Sylv's hand on my shoulder. "Crimson...please don't don't be mad at your father. He was only thinking the best for you. All parents do that." I smiled. "Yeah, I Know." She smiled back. "Anyways, did you pack everything?" I nodded. "Poke Balls, extra clothes, Pokemon Food, Pokegear, Pokedex, and and everything else," I closed my bag. "Hey, Aunt Sylv?"

"Yes?"

"What happened to your Torchic? I didn't see it." I asked. She blinked. "Oh...I gave Torchic to my assistant. It was bonding with him, so I decided to let him keep Torchic." I nodded. "I get it." When I'm busy, my aunt has her assistant help her with fieldwork. I've never actually met him, but Aunt Sylvia said that he's the same age as me.

My aunt smiled. "If you're wondering if I'm giving him a Pokedex, I've already given him one. He's coming back here to grab his stuff soon. And...here," She gave me a frosty blue rock. "This is an Ice Stone. You might need this later on your journey."

I put the stone inside my bag as I returned Eevee into her Poke Ball. Mudkip climbed onto my head as Riolu took his regular place on my shoulder.

I looked towards an open window and then back to my aunt, smiling. "Guess this is goodbye for now." She hugged me and then patted my shoulders. "Good luck, and battle strong." I grinned racing towards the window. "Thanks, Aunt Sylv! I'll make you proud!" I leaped out of the window, grabbed a vine, and started swinging inside the forest of Route 3. I heard my aunt's voice yelling,

                                                     "Go get'em Crimson!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys, Lantern here!

So this is the first chapter and I hope that you'll enjoy the story as it grows and grows. Crimson was the first OC that I've ever made so, she's pretty special to me.

Of course, as I said in the Author's Note, that some characters are related to some of the Dexholders. Guessing who Crimson's related to will either be easy or hard for you since you might catch on to what she says or not or seeing what I write. (Some things that I wrote might be dead giveaways.) Same with some pf the other characters. Feel free to guess who any of the character's are related to in the comments. I will reveal everything after the book is done.

That being said, my friend, @GrammarlessBoi please don't spoil anything since you know many things because you're helping me.

Oh, and one more thing: If any of you are reading this chapter, expect some slow and some fast updates. I am a slow at typing sometimes and I can't be on the computer for that much time.

Anyways, OrigamiLantern11, lights out!
