Chapter 7

"Pay close attention because you are going to be doing it's other side" he said and then he started cutting up the giant fish. First he stabbed his left hand claws into the Gyrados' neck and with his other hand he made a cut at the base of the head, and started to scissor his way down the fish, his other hand dragging the body off of the table and stabbing into a freshly cut part of the fish. Partway through he grabbed the front part of the fillet and stabbed it into a hook hanging on the wall, and continued. He did this all of the way to the tail where he stopped, cut just before the tail started.

There he made another cut, lifted the full fillet and hooked it on the another hook on the wall, and boy it was quite the distance between the two, and then he flipped the Gyrados over and grabbed the fillet he had cut from the hooks. Then he rolled it into a giant ball and put that into another box.

"Your turn, I will give you tips if you need them but—" I immediately dove into the task and copied him to the best of my ability. The Gyrados was a huge fish so I had to go on the other side to make a cut all of the way across, and when I thought that it was long enough I pushed a little more of the fish off of the edge of the table, grabbed the side of the fillet that I had, jumped off of the wall, and hooked it onto the wall hook.

Then I turned and jumped off of the hook and back onto the table to continue. And once I got to the end I did the same thing: grabbing the end of the fillet, jumping off of the wall, and hooking it on before using the hook to get back to the table. I looked at myself and I found that the lower half of my arms' fur was stained red. I glared at it, that was going to be hard to wash out at the end of the day, especially since I had white fur and blood dried after a while, my fur was going to be matted and sticky...great.

"Well done" I looked up to see the Dragonite looking at me with pride, "you did very well after just watching, now go over there for a second." The Dragonite pointed to the mass of boxes near the iced corner of the room. I tilted my head at him, but he had already grabbed the fillet, rolled it up, and was putting it inside of another box, so I just went over and waited.

Eventually he came over and put the box in an empty spot at the top, making it a rectangle of boxes four high and three wide. Suddenly they all disappeared and I immediately went over to the platform and looked around as if I could see where it went.

"Now this is some human tech that I borrowed before I got stuck on this island" the Dragonite said and I looked at him with surprise, "and no it will not allow living material to travel through it, I have a scientist friend on the other side. We tried out different things: boxes, bags, teeth, shells, yarn, dead Pokémon, and when I put a Rattata on and tried to send it to her she sent me a letter saying that it had turned inside out when it had arrived"

My disgust must've shown pretty clearly because he laughed and agreed with me.

"Yeah I have to admit that it was pretty gross, so we stuck to non living things, and thankfully I could supply my meat from here as if I was just in hiding...which I kind of am I guess" the Dragonite scratched the back of his head and looked up groaning. "I really shouldn't have pissed off that assassin guild and sent them a prank order back then"

I just cocked my head, I was too confused to ask a question at the moment.

"Well you see about thirteen, no, fifteen years ago I got an order from one of the biggest assassins guilds in the world, and I was a stupid young Dragonair back then and when I finally got the strength to evolve into the Dragonite you see now. I was always on the run, just barely ahead of the assassins.

One night I flew into a large hurricane and I wasn't strong enough to escape it, and that's how I got here. On this stupid island, with only a teleporter and my new strength.

"Are you afraid that they'll find a way to get here?" I asked and he nodded.

"I am sure that they'll find a way to get on and off of the island, but it will probably only be a one time thing, and I will not go down without fighting" the Dragonite said clenching a fist and I could see the determination in his eyes as he said it.

"What would I do if that were to happen?" I asked cocking my head, and the Dragonite looked at me with sorrow.

"I don't know, from what I can tell if you get strong enough you may be able to take on one of their assassins, but you wouldn't be able to win" he said, "but as you are now, I would suggest you run and warn the city to got into lock down for a while"

"Okay then I'll just have to become strong enough and good enough to fight alongside you" I said grinning and I jumped away and over to the Gyrados that was still there before he even got a chance to answer.

I looked back to see him thinking about something, and after a little while he came over.

"Okay how about this, if we were to finish the rest of this fish this week, then I'll let you stay on the top for as long as you want to while I go and get more" he said and I grinned and stuck out my paw.

"Okay" I said and he extended a claw and shook to the deal.

The rest of that day went by fairly quickly and by the end of the day we had gotten half of the Sharpedo done and sent off, and I left to go to the surface. I wasn't going to use the elevator though, and my first task was getting back to the surface so that I could see where would be best to climb up.

"See you tomorrow I said and then I jumped up a don started to bounce off of the walls making my way up the deep hole and back to the surface. I made it to the surface in ten minutes and my goal was to get that down to five or less by the end of this month.

I looked up at the opening leading to a starry night, and I made my way over to the edge of the wall. I poured some power into the claws of my paws and feet and then I stabbed into the wall. My claws easily sink into the wall and I grinned.

I stabbed them both into the wall and launched myself upwards, and I repeated this process, sometimes using my feet as well to go faster, but it took me a lot less time to get to the top than I thought it would.

It took me fifteen to get to the outside of the city and into the wild above. I looked down surprised that they kept this open all night, but it didn't matter anymore as I was set on looking around for a little while before going to bed. I had around an hour or two before the sun set.

My first stop was a small stream nearby, of which I immediately jumped into and started rubbing all of the blood from work off of me. It took the rest of the day to get my fur it's natural white and red color again.

I got it if the water and shook myself for a bit, of which my fur was still moderately soaked. The water was now a giant pool of red and I hoped that it would be able to clear up because I didn't want to have to use the city to clean up before coming out here to sleep. I climbed a nearby tree and listened to the forest around me until I finally fell asleep.

The next day I woke up before sunrise and made my way back to the underground city. Instead of waiting for the platform I just jumped off of the edge and dropped through the air. I thought that it was nice to be able to do this and not really have to worry about needing something to catch my fall.

I decided to not use anything around me and as soon as the ground neared I braced myself as my feet touched the ground, but there was barely any force. Was I light enough to land on the ground without problems? Or was it something else?

I just made my way over to the cabin and stood on the chair, the ground disappeared the next second and then I forgot that I needed a bell or he would be mad at me. I used Razor Claw on the wall and shot back to the surface, where I dug my claws into the floor and dragged it backwards with my strength like I usually did to get out.

I jumped out onto the floor and then hopped through the open door and ran my way into the city. And there was nothing open, great. I decided to stray from the normal markets and I went to a nearby alleyway where I saw some thug looking Pokémon standing around and mean facing everyone that walked by.

I stepped into the alleyway and they all looked at me seething like I had invaded their space from this far away. I took another step and they all moved towards me, so it was going to be like this huh. Okay I'll take you all on. I wanted to get into the building and see if they had a bell or something else noisy that wouldn't be too annoying to wear.

"Are you gonna let me past or are you all just going t be stubborn and make me go through you?" I asked stopping and crossing my arms in front of me and one of them in the front growled and stepped forwards.

"You think that you can beat all of us?" The Pignite scoffed and flamethrower without warning. I just raised my arms in front of me and used Razor claw again to negate the attack. And when I came out unscathed they all seemed surprised, what was he the strongest of them or something? Cool.

I didn't have my lightning though either, and for me that was a major disadvantage. I am pretty much immune to fire types thanks to my past experiences, but only if I raise my arms up to block the path of flame. The fur on my and is thicker and stronger than anywhere else thanks to that accident.I grinned at the Pignite as he stood there shocked.

"What about if I defeat the strongest of you, you let me past" I said, "that way you can say I earned my way in." This time they grinned, and everyone moved aside to reveal the same arc anime I saw on the elevator the other morning.

"I saw you yesterday didn't I?" I asked and the Arcanine nodded.

"Yeah I do remember seeing you yesterday" the Arcanine started to walk towards me and I stood my ground as he stopped a few meters away, "you didn't seem to like the elevator for some reason. Would you mind telling me what that was?"

"Come on are you two gonna fight or just stand—" the Pignite tried but we interrupted him.

"SHUT UP" We both said and the Pugnite closed its trap but growled in irritation and impatience. But I just looked at the Arcanine and lengthened my claws with Razor Claw.

"I don't like them because if the Onyx were to forget or lose focus then everyone that couldn't fly would die if the platform were higher than three or four floors anyways." I said and the Arcanine tilted his head.

"Huh I never thought about it that way before" he said and made a shrugging motion, "but I'm also sure that if there were flying Pokémon or Pokémon that had fast reflexes or extreme strength they could probably help slow down the platform or at least help other Pokémon get to safety."

"True but it still doesn't change my mind" I said and then shot forwards towards him.
