I was a little surprised that I understood what I was, but I still didn't know how to use my abilities. I didn't feel anything like lightning coursing through my body at all, but I could tell that I was stronger than when I was... wait what was I before. I couldn't remember anymore. What was my name? How was I here? Was I made or hatched? I didn't understand.

I wandered around while thinking about these things, but when I couldn't reach a reason I just let it go and made finding food my top priority. I smelled water again, but what was I smelling. It was strong and powerful, but the scent was definitely water. I turned and ran towards the new scent and what I found was a world of blue. It seemed to go on for miles before spring at the base of a giant cloud of which curved around the islands corners and past my field of vision.

I followed the dark twirling mass and saw that it went up seemingly forever. What is that and why does it seem to not be effecting the island that I am on right now. I ran along the entire edge of the land until I came back to my paw prints in the sand originally coming from the forest. The dark, swirling mass formed a complete ring around my island,and I was surprised to see that it wasn't just darkness. There were flashes of light streaking along the entire thing.

I wanted to grab some of it, I didn't understand what it was at the moment but I knew that it would be the one thing to give me enough power to use my abilities. Then my stomach interrupted my thoughts with a deep growl of angry hunger. I guess that it was time to see what kinds of food was on this island.

I turned and followed my paw prints back into the forest and looked for something that looked edible. But I didn't know what I was even looking for, I walked through the forest looking up and down, left and right to see if I could find something that might satisfy my hunger.

I smelled it before I saw it, it smelled foul and appetizing at the same time, and even though I didn't want to I followed it nonetheless. I wasn't expecting to find a Tepig here. I wasn't expecting to actually think of it as good either, and then I saw me.

"Oh hi mister" it...she bounded up to me happily not even aware that there was a predator capable of ripping her apart right here and now without any trouble at all. And I didn't want to eat something that could speak to me as well. I would have too guilty a conscience for that afterwards to try and prepare the meat.

"Oh I-I am just looking for some food" I decided to go with that. Hopefully it wouldn't make her realize what could happen. "Do you know where I can find some"

"Yeah. Follow me!" She yelled excited and then turned around and ran off. I stood there for a second wondering what to do. I mean I wanted to get some food but if I was right about this there will be evolved versions of that Tepig and I didn't think that very many of them would be very friendly.

She eventually came back and looked at me curiously.

"What's wrong?" She tiletsd her head curiously and I shied away.

"I don't know how your people will react to me" I said hoping that she'll get it and run away already or show me to a fruit tree or something.

"Oh I wouldn't worry about that we have a pact with all of the predators in the island already. Everyone: Tepic, our evolutions, or the other mainly plant eating species here that die of natural causes are used as food...As long as the person that has died is okay with it, we give their bodies to the predators. They have their fill, and then it's their job to bury the remains and make tombstones." She said, and all I could do was just look at her confused.

"If there's a murder then the predators and prey will have on eight the investigation teams work on it, and trust me. They always catch the killer" now she was just scaring me. I stepped back involuntarily and she tilted her head at me.

"We aren't going to hurt you" she said, "in fact the predators and prey are living together, and some prey and predators are actually mates. So as long as you don't do anything or injure one of us while your there we have no reason to hurt you"

That only scared me further, and I took another step back. This Tepic was scaring me. I was about to turn and run off to find something else to eat. Maybe I'll eat some fish or something, I'm pretty sure that cat like Pokémon love fish, so maybe it'll be even better than anything that I could come up with here.

I suddenly felt something wet on my hand and I involuntarily jumped up into the nearest tree and looked at what had touched me. Only to see the Tepig rolling around on the ground with laughter. I slowly climbed down and waited for her to be done.

"Follow me" she said after she got up and calmed down with a few breathing exercises...that weren't working because every time she looked at my face she smiled. Then she turned and ran off again and I shut after her not letting her out of my sight.

It was really strange because after a little while of running and swimming her scent seemed to change from that stench of dirt and dirty water, to one of roses. It was really strange, maybe they did that to make their scent to seem unappetizing if they went a certain distance away from their town.

After another ten minutes of running after her she finally stopped behind a large patch of leaves. As then she turned around towards me.

"Don't seem too surprised, a lot of Pokémon that come here and see our town for the first time end up looking like fools" she then disappeared behind the leaves and I, once again, hesitated. I didn't know what was being that wall. I didn't know if something was just going to come or and try to kill me. I didn't know...I shook my head.

If she was going to kill me there would've been a trap on our way here. I stepped past the leaves and was met with disappointment. There wasn't anything there, and once I took a step forwards. My feet weren't greeted with ground. Actually there was nothing there at all, and so I fell. Through the ground, but once past it I was met with something insane. I didn't except their 'town' to be a full on city.

As I fell I looked at the metal sky scrapers that almost reached to the top of the giant cavern that I was falling through, and then I wondered. If the Tepig knew that this was here there must be some way that is safe for Pokémon that can't naturally land on their feet to go and meet land safely without death awaiting them.

My mind seemed to go on autopilot mode, and before I knew if I was looking for things that I could use to get to the ground safely. I saw poles, branches, water, and other things. So I redirected my fall to be able to grab onto one of the metal poles. Once in my reach I lightly grabbed the pole, let my momentum bring me into a few circles. Then I spotted the branch that I wanted to go after, swung around one last time, let go, and twisting my body around as I flew through the air.

I lightly touched the branch and then jumped off and back flipped into the water. Of which I didn't know was there in my rush of the moment. And I ended up yelping before I hit the water.

As I dragged myself out in noticed that I had a little crowd laughing at me, and I growled at them and looked around for that Tepig that had lead me here.

She was rolling around on the ground snorting and laughing at my predicament. I walked over to her on all fours, stopped right next to her, and shook myself off. Causing her to freeze as the countless water dropped splattered across her fire-type skin. Then she shivered and glared at me, still upside down I might add.

"Did you really have to do that?" She pouted, and I growled at her.

"Well you could've told me about the two mile long drop from the sky" I said, "had I not been any other kind of Pokémon I wouldn't have seen anywhere to land safely and there would be a lot of blood."

"Okay I guess I deserved that" she said, "I am sorry for not warning you"

"Fine, but you said that you had food here, but all I see are other laughing Pokémon, water, and fish. Wait" I turned around and shot back over to the pond. There they were, there were fish type Pokémon in here and before I could stop myself I had grabbed a Magikarp and was about to sink my fangs into it.

"Wait, be a little civilized for a moment please, there is food here, but I don't have any right now" she pleaded

"Well there's some food right here, so what's wrong about tearing apart thing one fish" I growled at her.

"Well if you eat that thing you'll have to go to jail, it's illegal to eat anything that is still alive on the city" I was about to unsheathe my claws into the fish, "and, it's illegal to kill anything within the city"

"Bummer" I growled and dropped the fish back into the he lake, I was really, really hungry now. And now that my chance to quell a little of that hunger was just thrown away from me. I was also now really pissed off.

"Okay so if nothing alive can be killed or eaten within the city then does that mean that bug types can't harm or be killed either" I looked at her curiously, "and where is food?"

"No. And if you'll be patient and follow me then I'll show you a place that has food, but for carnivores it isn't a cheap thing to buy, and I can't get you much" she pointed and I sighed.

"I can eat berries too, it's just that meat has a better quality in terms of actually filling me up" I turned from her and looked at the city once again. I still couldn't believe that Pokémon could create something as sophisticated and complicated as this.

"Follow me, let's get you some food before you actually kill something in that pond" I pulled my hand away, I didn't even notice that I had grabbed another fish while I looked around at the large city.
