Mahogany's P.O.V.
   "I still don't know, guys... I'm ready to tell him but I'm NOT ready," I told my dorm mates as I pondered around the room we were in, which was of course our dorm. Lunar stepped up and told me, "Just do it! He'll be your first real boyfriend if he likes you too and things go well!" I stopped, looked at her and asked, "But what if he doesn't feel the same way?"
   I was debating with my friends wether I should tell one of my first friends at Pokémon Academy, Xero, also my close friend, my feelings for him. It was slowly becoming more obvious over the past few months that I liked him, an later tonight would be the Valentine's Dance. It would be the perfect chance this Valentine's Day to tell him I liked him.
   Skippy, of course now a Lopunny, was on her phone while laying on her bed, but she was still listening in to support me. She looked up for a second and said, "Mahogany, what are you waiting for? You two are great friends! I'm sure he likes you too!" I looked at her and Lunar, switching my view back and forth between them with a smile and said, "Yeah, I guess I'll do it! Thanks, guys!"
   Before I could beat her, Lunar was at the door to get Xero. I let her do it, just to get it all over with faster. Skippy had gotten up and was standing behind me. She patted my shoulder and said, "Good job, Mahogany."
   A few minutes later, Lunar returned with none other than Xero. She knocked on the door quite impatiently and Skippy let them in.
   "Hello, Mahogany!" Xero said when he saw me. "I hear there's something you wanna tell me?" I hesitated for a moment, and I glanced behind me at my friends. Lunar smiled and Skippy gave me a thumbs up. They both nodded for me to go ahead. I sighed and began to do what I was going to do.
   "Hi, Xero... look, I've always been wondering the right way to say this..." "What?" I blushed profusely and shuffled my paws a bit. I smiled just as profusely as I was blushing and let out mixed in with a heavy sigh, "Xero, if it wasn't already obvious, I like you." I waited for his response. He hesitated, a look of hidden awe on his face, and then he lunged in to kiss me. I let him do so, happy he seemed to like me too. Behind me and Xero's romantic moment, I heard my friends cheering silently and exchanging high-fives.
   When the kiss was over after a few seconds, Xero said to me, "Mahogany... will you go to the Valentine's Day dance with me?" Lunar and Skippy started squealing, this time unable to silence it, and I nodded excitedly and exclaimed, "Yes, I will!"
Later, Valentine's Day dance...
   Lunar and Skippy had dressed me up in nice clothing for the dance. We walked into the gym, them, also wearing nice clothing, on either side of me as we entered the dance.  I saw Xero in the distance, looking around for someone, probably me. I ran over to him and said, "Xero! You look lovely!" Xero blushed and said, "You look nice too, but you always do." I smiled and said thanks.
   In the gym, there was some upbeat music playing for partiers first. About an hour passed and everyone, including me and Xero together, had lots of fun. Finally, the DJ stopped the music and began to put in some slow music. "I wanna see all the couples dancing together now!" The DJ said. Xero and I looked at each other and began to slow dance together. It was great. I felt comforted and loved, even though we weren't even a couple.
   The Valentine's Day dance was ultimately awesome, and at the end, Xero asked me, "Will you go out with me next week?" I replied, "Of course!" I kissed his cheek, said goodbye and headed to my dorm for the rest of the night.
   Skippy and Lunar were sure proud of me! Valentine's Day had gone great!
