Chapter One: How It All Began

Mahogany's P.O.V.
"Mom, I still don't see why we have to move," I said to my mom, a regular Absol, of course. She replied, "Well, honey, things just didn't work out at your all-shiny Pokémon school." "How did they not work out when I'm a Shiny Pokémon?" "It's a long story," my dad, yet another regular Absol, piped in.
We were moving. Moving far away from my old school and home, and to a new one. My old school was a school where only Shiny Pokémon were allowed to attend. And for some reason I'd didn't know of yet, we were leaving a good life and going to a new home and school where regular Pokémon attended. I was worried that other Pokémon would judge me as I was Shiny.
We were on a Wailord, riding across the sea to our new home. Soon, I could start to see land, our destination. I looked at myself and sighed. My casual outfit wasn't that snazzy. It was just some anklets and a necklace. But the necklace had a secret. The red fake jewel pendant on the necklace was really a Mega Stone. How would others think of me if they knew I could Mega Evolve, let alone being Shiny? I was about to find out.
After a week within arriving to our new home, I went to Pokémon Academy for the first time. It actually looked pretty cool! I learned that all of Pokémon Academy was divided into different sectors, I guess you could call them: the Primary School Division, housing grades 1-3, the Grade School Division, housing grades 4-5, the Middle School Division, housing grades 6-8, and the High School Division, which housed grades 9-12. I was in grade 9 this year.
I walked in through the huge welcoming doors of Pokémon Academy. When I walked in, multiple Pokémon looked at me and started gossiping about me to their friends. I knew this wouldn't go well.
A Pokémon, an Infernape, wearing glasses and holding a clipboard saw me and walked up to me. The Infernape said to me, "Hello. You must be our new student..." He looked closely at a paper in the clipboard, and continued, "...Mahogany, I presume?" I nodded. He smiled, stuck out his hand and said, "Well, then, I'm Mr. Nape, the head of Pokémon Academy. I've been expecting you." I shook his hand with my paw. He then gave me a tour of the school. He gave me my schedule, showed me my locker and told me what class I was in. He said I was in classroom 906 for my first period class. I supposed the first digit meant what grade, and the last two meant that it was the 6th 9th grade classroom.
"Now, here are your books," Mr. Nape told me as he handed me a pile of textbooks. They looked like a big load!
"Well, thanks," I said as I checked my schedule. Here's what it said:
1st Period: Science
2nd Period: Math
3rd Period: History
4th Period: P.E.
5th Period: Music

It seemed my schedule was pretty decent. At least all the boring stuff was first, anyways. "Well, I better be off to Science Class!" I said as I got ready to leave, but Mr. Nape said, "Hold on! Flip your schedule around. The schedule varies every day. One day we'd have the schedule you're looking at for our classes, and the next day we'd have the other scheduled classes, and so on." I flipped it around as I thought, "Huh, that seems cool, different schedules each day! The other schedule said:
1st Period: Language
2nd Period: Math
3rd Period: Art
4th Period: Advanced Battle Class 101
5th Period: Algebra 101

Hm, this other schedule seemed unique with advanced classes! Mr. Nape told me lunch was between 3rd and 4th period and lasted an hour. I went on my way to my first class, hoping this new school wouldn't be so bad.
