[Giovanni’s POV]

Roaring cries could be heard as I made my way towards the laboratory. Two of my secretaries were behind me filling me up on the information regarding my orders. Getting the Legendaries under my control was a tough task they would just not surrender at all it seemed. It was getting on my nerves. If we fail to control them then winning this battle will be hard.

“Is the pulverizing canon ready?” I asked, my tone showed signs of irritation.

“Yes sir, they have completed the construction and are requesting for a test run.” Elise replied.

“Hmm.. firing off such a huge canon will attract attention but testing it before the battle is important as well. I’ll look into it and decide later.” I replied. To which she just gave gentle ‘ok sir’. “What about the Anti-escape barrier?” I questioned.

“It’s almost done, there is one small defect you might want to see before I mark it perfect.” Croma told. I eyed her from the left side.

“What is this small defect you talk about?” I asked a small vein popping on my forehead. I simply cannot let even the slightest of error slide.

“The barrier once after forming, breaks randomly after an irregular interval for 0.5 to at most 1 second. The barrier break interval is random and cannot be calculated. And the duration of the break is also very less and unequal.” she explained. I thought about it for a while, we were now standing right outside the laboratory and the roaring sounds were louder.

“I’ll reach the experiment chamber after I’m done here. You both are dismissed for now.” I said gesturing a limp hand to go. They both gave a gentle bow and left. I turned towards the laboratory and opened the door.

The sound of Pokemon crying their hearts out filled my ears. A smile crept on my face as I undertook the scene in front of me. Several huge crystalised chambers that kept one Legendary each were lined from one direction to the other. Electric rods were attached to their body to shock them and keep them awake, while a set of wiring attached to their napes gave electric impulses that gave their bodies command. Some of the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon had given in to the mind control therapy and were now controlled with remote devices attached to their backs. A few of them however had been completely controlled and didn’t need any device at all. I wanted all the Pokemon under that condition.

A Scientist who was watching over this test walked up to me.

“Report update.” I commanded. He held up in his tablet up his hand and swiped through the data.

“Out of total 78 Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. 5 Pokemon; Arceus, Rayquaza, Xerneas Zygarde and Zerarora are confirmed to be in possession of Ash Ketchum.” My hands gripped onto the railing bar I was standing against.

“Out of the remaining 73 Pokemon we have captured 69 of them. Galarian Articuno, Calyrex and Galarian Regi are not yet found.” I let out a small ‘hmm’. That’s a good count.

“Moving onto the final report. We have successfully gained complete control over 43 pokemon. 20 of the remaining pokemon are in remote control. And 6 are still yet to gain control.” I turned to look at him now.

“What are the 6 Pokemon?” I asked. He turned his tablet screen towards me, and it showed the list of pokemon with their stats.

I took the tablet from his hands and inspected it. Mewtwo, Necrozma, Regigigas, Yveltal, Darkrai and Eternatus.

Right. Mewtwo, this Pokemon was created using Mew’s DNA, but mutated several times to amplify its strength. I still don’t understand why Ash had it created in the first place. A man-made pokemon that stands second to eternatus in terms of strength. Mewtwo can easily overpower Arceus the god himself. But.. what could be the reason behind its creation. Was he trying to remove someone from his path? Perhaps me? Heh.. Well now I have it. I’m going to erase Ash and all that he has built from the face of the earth. Once I gain control over these Pokemon no one can stop me.

I returned the tablet back to the scientist. “I want to see Mewtwo.” I ordered.

“Of course sir, this way.” he bowed and then led me in the direction to Mewtwo’s chamber.

As we walked I glanced at all the Pokemon under testing for mind control and I was impressed at how well and quickly these scientists had gained control over these beasts. The smaller and weaker Pokemon were so under influence of the pulse that they were easily controlled. I watched a lady scientist train Keldeo to battle Victini. Keldeo’s movements were in sync with her and it almost looked like a dance.

The more stronger ones still required a remote device and were still kept inside chambers to hold them from going rampant. I saw Dialga trying to break free from the chains that were tied to it. Dialga, the ruler of time, and the creator of the Jewel of Time. I lost that Jewel from right in front of my eyes. I still remember the day I was mere moments behind Ash the bastard. He had fled away with both Dialga and the Jewel. I now have all three of the Pokemon who created the Jewels of Time, Space and Entity as well as the Jewel of entity.

Finally we reached Mewtwo’s chamber. The scientist gave me a bracelet. This bracelet was designed to absorb excess psychic energy emitted from pokemon. The amount of psychic energy from mewtwo is so high it could rip out the organs from a human body. Trying to control such massive power is truly a hard task.

"How is he doing?" I asked, my eyes staring at the Pokemon restrained in an armored capsule. Several wires were connected to the armor.

"His stats are very high. Even after restraining it's almost equal to that of a mega evolved Pokemon. It doesn't show any sign of obeying us. It only knows destruction." He replied.

"I have a question in mind.." I spoke.

"Yes sir?"

"This Pokemon was in hypersleep when we captured it from their headquarters right?"

"That's correct. It hadn't woken up before that. When it woke up it was unfamiliar to anything around him as well as himself."

"That means his hate for humanity is because of the amount of pain we are inducing upon him."

"It seems that could be the case."

"Well then this also means it will see every human as a threat."

"I'm sorry, I don't follow where you are going."

"I'm saying that if we use him as a suicide bomber."

"Pardon?"

"Deploy it among the pokenation army and let him destroy them. Later we can just erase it or capture it again if possible."

"We could do that. And we have already copied the DNA so we can create another Mewtwo. It’s not possible now but maybe later."

“Brilliant! Make preparations for his bombing capsule.” I announced as I turned back and walked out of the chamber. If I was gonna give hell to that bastard then I’ll give him everything I have. He won’t win this one out.

“Sir!” I heard someone call for me so I looked back and saw the scientist heading towards me.

“What is it?” I stared at him as he took his time walking up to me.

“I have something else to show you as well. Something that you’ll love.” He said with a sinister smile.

“Something that I’ll love?” I raised an eyebrow.

“Yes! Please follow me.” He said before quickly storming off towards the exit. I followed behind. “You might know that the galarian legendary Eternatus is a very strong Pokemon but what you don’t know is that it can get even stronger after assuming its Gigantamax form.”

“What’s Gigantamax?” I asked, it sounded like going giants but I have never heard of this power before.

“Right, It’s a rare phenomenon found in the Galar region where Pokemon can grow into giants with a weird energy called Dynamax energy.” he explained, I was starting to get excited about this new found knowledge.

“What’s more to it?” We had reached another Chamber which was specifically created for Eternatus because of its enormous size.

The scientist gave me a sly grin, “You’ll be thrilled..” he said with the same sinister look.

As we entered the Chamber, I was met with Eternatus strained against Heavy metal chains that were powered with electricity. It was going wild and releasing weird red particles. We watched this from a height as the entrance was built higher than the actual ground where the experiment was going on.

“That sir, is the Dynamax energy being released from its body in an infinite amount. It continuously keeps releasing those particles. And the shocking thing is, even after releasing so much of its particles its stats aren’t going below the level of Mewtwo’s.” He told me, I was looking at this with wide eyes and a big grin. This has to be the key for my win.

“Those particles can be stored and used for Dynamaxing other Pokemon as well.” he added. I looked at him as I found it unbelievable.

“What do you mean other Pokemon?” I asked in surprise.

“All pokemon with the help of required amounts of energy as per their energy usage can dynamax, some can even change their form and are called Gigantamax Pokemon Like Eternatus. It sky-rockets their normal strength to a whole new level.”

I was flabbergasted by this information. “How do you use this energy?”

“It’s easy. We can store this energy and then project the energy on any pokemon to make it Dynamax.” he replied. “Follow me sir, there’s one last thing you should know.” I followed the scientist.

We walked down the stairs to the ground where the energy from Eternatus was being absorbed inside a big gemstone.

“This is a normal gemstone, we are using it to store the Dynamax energy. Dynamax energy is basically photon particles which have been energized by Eternatus. Since it’s just light it can be stored inside this gemstone by infinitely reflecting and trapping the photons inside the gem. For that we have just shaped it in such a manner that once a light enters it will not escape the gem. That’s the reason why this gen stone seems black and dull even after absorbing so much energy.”

“Anything that touches this gem will burn due to the enormous amount of energy which will be directly transferred from inside to that body. For instance..” he took a piece of paper from his pocket, “this is a paper and if I just throw it at the gem..” he said as he flicked the paper at the gem and the instant the paper touched the gem it burnt to ashes. “That’s why we have to keep this gem without any contact to any surface or it will make its way to the centre of the Earth burning the ground below it until it runs out of energy. For this we use Anti-gravity suspension.”

“How are you going to project his energy to a pokemon if nothing can touch this crystal? And won’t it burn the pokemon itself if it burns everything?” I asked, to which he gave a small laugh.

“That’s right, it was supposed to be that way but that’s not completely true. Nothing can touch this gem, except another gem cut in the same but slightly different manner.” He turned around and called to one of his underlings asking for something. Soon a man came with a small device and gave it to the scientist.

He held the device in front of me, “This device has the same gem in a cylindrical shape, but unlike the gem over here, it takes in the energy from one side and lets it flow out from the other side. The gem is suspended inside this Metal tube with Anti-gravity suspension. The reason these gems don’t break or burn due to the energy is because they don’t let the energy settle at one point they continuously reflect the energy from one point to another.”

“Let me now demonstrate how this device works. If you’d please move back a little, I’ll just..” I moved back and he proceeded towards the gem. “Don’t look at the beam from up too close, instead watch that brick wall over there.” he called out and I gave a small nod. He placed the device near the gem and just as he touched it to the surface of the gem a beam of red energy blasted out from the device. The beam was focused at the wall he mentioned and when he removed the device the beam stopped and the wall had melted down. I stared at the wall with wide eyes.

He walked back to me with the device in his hands. And he looked completely unharmed. “This is the power of Dynamax energy when focused at one point. However it affects the Pokemon differently making them evolve to Dynamax. It’s something inside their cell which we are still researching. This gem has the power to Dynamax a thousand max-level final evos of pokemon. We want to build a cannon based on the same principle as this small device and use it in the battle you talk about. Dynamaxing our army from a distance by just shooting a beam from this gem. I need your approval and the funds.” He had this incredible smile on his face and this absolute stunning plan, I couldn’t stop myself from giving him a hug. I gave him a big pat on his back as I backed off.

“Absolutely, you’ll get whatever you need for this project. How long will it take?” I asked.

“I can complete it in at most 5 days once I get all the materials.” He replied.

“Alright, send the list to my secretary, I’ll let her know to get it done ASAP.” I gave him pat on the shoulder as he bowed. “What was your name again?” I asked.

“It’s Colress, sir.” he replied.

“Well Colress, Care to join me for a toast tonight?” I offered.

“Thank you so much sir, but how about after the cannon?” he suggested and I smiled at his idea.

“That’s even better.” I spoke. “I’ll be waiting to hear from you soon. Goodluck with the project.” I said as I made my way back to my office.

“Of course sir!” I heard him say behind me.

I left the laboratory with a satisfied smile on my face.

“Ash, I’m gonna get you for sure this time.” I spoke to no one in particular.
