[Calem's POV]

Ash and I sat beside each other with a bored expression. We were interrogating Marnie but her stubbornness was exhausting. She wouldn't listen to anything we wanted to tell her nor would she tell us anything that we wanted. Sure we could use the Metagross communication chip but the thing was it can only transmit the information that the person is thinking at the moment. We can't dive into her head to pull out any specific information.

"Marnie, please would you listen to us.. I promise you everything will be alright. You don't know what you are doing. Jus-"

"NO! I will not listen to any of the crap you have to say. You are only trying to ruin what my father wants!"

I sat and heard Ash and Marnie talk, well Marnie refusing to talk. It was getting quite boring.

"Marnie, please. You have to trust us. Your father is a criminal. He has caused havoc in several regions and is the leader of the greatest crime organisation."

"I know that! And I want to make my father's dream come true! Unlike you brother! You are a traitor! You betrayed father when he trusted you the most! Why did you do that? Why did you betray father?" she asked me with obvious hate. I raised my eyebrows and clicked my tongue before answering.

"Well... He's not my father." I said as I rubbed the back of my neck.

"What do you mean he's not your father?" she eyed me suspiciously.

"I mean what I said. He's not my father. He killed my parents, aka your uncle and aunt, or simply said his sister and her husband." I spoke and with every word my tone darkened.

"..."

"So yeah, we are cousins, not siblings. And Ash is also our cousin. His dad, my mom and your dad were siblings. Giovanni killed his siblings so he could do his work without any trouble. But Ash didn't want to let that happen. So he started this organisation which is now a great success."

"I can't believe it.. That cannot be true. We have been together since childhood."

"Yeah, he killed my parents when I was just a baby."

Marnie didn't say anything in reply, she just sat there with her head low. I exchanged looks with Ash as he was also not saying anything.

"I'll tell you everything I know.." she said suddenly. We both took a sigh of relief. Finally.

Ash called the guards to open up Marnie and bring her something to eat. We told her about things that had happened along the years and how her father had caused trouble for everyone. After Marnie ate, she started telling everything she knew about Giovanni's plan for Galar.

We were now walking around the facility while talking to Marnie. I don't know but maybe Ash was a little too trusting, too soon. We shouldn't be showing her the headquarters. I even asked him if it was okay to do it now, and he was okay with it.

As we were walking towards the training center, Ash's phone rang which he picked. "Hey Serena, what's up?" he asked cheerfully on the phone, I didn't hear the rest of their talk as I looked at Marnie, she was looking at Ash with a curious look. 'Oh boy', a small smile escaped my lips as I knew what was coming up next.

"Sure, we'll be there soon. Love you. Tell Leaf too." He said as he hung the call, but little did he know his last words had peaked Marnie's Curiosity. He put his phone in the pocket and looked at me. His eyes narrowed as he looked at my goofy expression. "What happened to you?" He asked, I didn't say anything as Marnie was already about to answer for me.

She practically pounced on Ash, "Who was it?" She asked with eyes sparkling with curiosity. "What do you mean? Who?" Ash, oblivious to the atmosphere, asked her with absolutely no idea. "You know who I'm talking about. The girl you were just talking to? Who is she? Your girlfriend? Or is she your wife? Wait, are you really married? Who's leaf? Your daughter? How old is she? Will I be her aunt? Oh my god! I'm not old enough to be called aunt! Ugh this is weird. I'll ask her to call me Marnie instead, aunt feels aged. By the way where is she? Can I meet her today? ......"

Marnie kept throwing questions at Ash as he watched her with a shocked expression while I laughed my lungs out. "STOP!" Ash yelled loudly and Marnie stopped and looked at Ash like a Sawsbuck in the middle of a highway.

He sighed, "Starting with the first question and taking it slow. Her name is Serena, she is my girlfriend... for now. Leaf is my little sister. You are not old yet. Yes, we will meet them today. That's it." he said and walked ahead. Marnie stood there trying to remember the questions she had asked because she obviously wasn't paying attention to what she was saying. She joined me and Ash back soon.

We walked for a while before reaching Serena's room. She was still under treatment as the effect from the operation was still lingering. When she saw Ash her face lit up and she came and hugged him affectionately. I stood back with Marnie, who on one hand was having something running in her head. And I doubt it was something good. When Ash and Serena parted, Serena greeted me and noticed Marnie.

"Who's this?" she asked Ash. Just as Ash was about to answer Marnie spoke up. "My name's Marnie. I'm Ash and Calem's cousin." Serena smiled upon hearing her reply, "Nice to meet you Marnie, I'm Serena." "Ash told me about you on my way here. I was so looking forward to meeting you and Leaf. Where is she?" Marnie asked, looking around the room.

"She should be coming here soon." Serena replied.

We all sat and talked with Marnie as she was really eager to share about herself and know about her cousins, who she never knew. After about ten minutes the door opened and Leaf ran in, she came and crashed into Ash's lap as she hugged him tightly. "I missed you big brother!" She squealed happily. Pikachu walked in behind her and took a spot on Serena's lap. She scratched the back of his ears as he coed happily.

Marnie was fixated on Leaf though. I was sure she was enjoying every bit of her day today. "Hey Leaf." I called out as she turned me. "Yes brother Cal?" she asked me in her innocent voice. Marnie was so not gonna like what I was about to say. I gestured to Marnie, "This is Marnie, she is your aunt." I said, gathering all the strength to not laugh. I was sure I heard a stifle escape Ash's lips as I looked at him trying to contain his laughter. Serena was partly confused but curiously smiling. Marnie though, looked like she was gonna murder me.

"Hello Aunt Marnie! My name is Leaf!" She chirped happily. At that moment I lost it. I just did.

Ash and I started laughing as a punch came crashing at my face. "Ow!" I yelled but kept on laughing whilst holding my face. It hurt, but the laughter was taking over.

"No Leaf, she isn't your aunt. He is just joking with Marnie. She is my cousin so she's your cousin too." Ash told the little cutie as she looked at Marnie with her adorable eyes. Marnie growled at me before turning back to Leaf with a sweet expression. "So, can I call her big sis?" she asked innocently. Marnie smiled happily, "Of course." she said.

"Nice to meet you Big sis!" Leaf squealed. I swear Marnie herself was internally squealing at her cuteness.

We stayed there for the next couple of hours before Ash said we had to go. "Come on Marnie, We gotta go."

"What? Already? Can't we stay a little longer? I wanna talk to Serena and Leaf." Marnie groaned.

"You can come back tomorrow. Don't you wanna see your Pokemon?"

"Fine...." She pouted before getting up.

"I wanna see Big sis' Pokemon!" Leaf squealed.

"Sorry sweetie, you can meet them tomorrow. Right now, go to our room and get some sleep. It's getting late"

"Okay"

With that we left the room saying our goodbyes and made our way towards the training room.

"So, where have you kept my Pokemon? Are they kept in cages and chains?"

Ash laughed as I spoke, "No, that's one thing we never do here."

"They are being trained by my Charizard." Ash said.

"Why would my Pokemon listen to your Charizard?" Marnie asked with a confused expression.

I chuckled this time before speaking, "Believe me, even the Legendaries would bow down to him."

"You're kidding. He's a Charizard, not a god."

"Trust me, He's much more than just a Charizard."

We reached the training room as Ash opened the door for me and Marnie. She walked up ahead as she saw her Pokemon training in the field. "Hey guys, How are you all?" she yelled loud enough for them to hear but they didn't even look at her. "Don't disturb them now, they are training. Just watch" I said. She nodded before looking around the field. "Where's Charizard? I don't see him." she asked.

"Up there." I said pointing up towards a tall figure that stood in front of us on the other side. Marnie lifted her head and her mouth dropped as she locked eyes with Charizard's Flaring ones. "What in the name of Arceus is that thing?!" She asked with shock dripping from her words.

There stood Charizard with all his glory in his 'Synchronised double Mega evolved Dynamax form'

"That's Charizard's ultimate form"

"That doesn't look like Dynamax. I've seen a Charizard in its G-max form."

"It's not just Dynamax. It's a fusion evolution. Synchronisation, Double mega evolution and Dynamax evolution."

"You're kidding! Is there even such a thing?!"

"It is. Right in front of you is the world's first Max-Evolved Pokemon."

Marnie just stood there staring at Charizard as she gulped down a lump in her throat.

"You can stop moving your legs."

She looked down and realised her legs were trembling. She tried to hold herself together as she blushed from embarrassment.

We watched Marnie's Pokemon do their training for about half an hour more before Charizard let them go. As we saw them moving out of the field from the exit, another group of Pokemon arrived. They formed their queues and started their training as Charizard stood there observing them.

"So, does Charizard just stand there staring at the Pokemon training?" Marnie asked in a sceptical tone.

"Yeah, since we don't have a field big enough for him to train yet, he has taken over the part of training other Pokemon." I replied.

"Why don't you revert him back?"

"Well, that's actually part of his training. Charizard is trying to stay in that form for more than the estimated time."

"Oh.."

Marnie's Pokemon soon reached the room where we were waiting and they hugged her as soon as they got in. It felt kind of heart warming. Marnie was never the criminal type girl, she just obeyed her father's orders, without knowing what he had done in reality. After realising that her father was the murderer of her family, she accepted her mistake.

After meeting all of her Pokemon and returning them back to their pokeball, which a staff member had delivered a few moments ago, we made our way back to the residential area where all the dorms were built for the stay of the staff and soldiers. The ground floor and the first floor was assigned to the Soldiers. The second floor was assigned to the Pokenation staff. And the top floor was for the Commanding officers and Official personnel. That included all of the high ranked officers, the president of Pokenation aka Ash and other people that held significant importance like Ash's friends, who were also members of Pokenation, Serena, Leaf, Alain, me and now Marnie too and some more people I wasn't yet much acquainted with.

Marnie was really happy after she came to know her room was right next to Ash's room. Since Serena and Leaf were living in that room as well. They stayed up late chatting and having fun. Ash wasn't interested at all, he went in his room and drowned himself in sleep. I went to sleep early too, there wasn't much time to spare for fun and frolic. Team Rocket could be planning anything anytime, Now with me and Marnie gone, Giovanni must be furious. As he had put all his trust on us.

I just want to see his defeated mug real soon. And then I'll say it in his face, 'That's what you get for killing my parents and hiding it from me.'

Hey guys, So I finally updated... hehehehehe, I hope you enjoyed the part. I will be revealing Charizard's Original fanart soon. I want it to look terrifying, awesome and strong. As you all know the war is coming, get ready for some action packed chapters before the book ends. 

PS - That is the most exciting part I have been waiting to write. It was the idea of that war that led me to write this story.
