Route 1
Ash was walking through Route 1, wearing rubber gloves and holding a rope tied to Pikachu. Ash was using half of his strength just to drag Pikachu, as it didn't want to follow Ash.
"Pikachu, do you plan to be like this forever?" Ash sighed, asking Pikachu, "Do you not like me?"
Pikachu nodded its head as a reply. "Pika!"
"I understand, but you're my Pokemon now, so can't you change your attitude and be a little nicer?" Ash patiently asked while giving out a genuine smile on his face.
"Pika pika." Pikachu shook its head as a reply.
"Well, you're no different than other Pokemon, and you should go inside your pokeball just like the others," Ash said, taking out his Pokedex to make it more believable. "Just like what the Pokedex said."
"While being trained, a Pokemon usually stays inside its pokeball," a robotic voice said from the Pokedex.
"See?" Ash said, proving it to Pikachu
Pikachu then jumped and pressed a button at the Pokedex.
"However, there are many exceptions; some Pokemon hate being confined." The Pokedex continued.
"..." Ash had no words to say and started untying Pikachu and taking off his rubber gloves. "That should be better, right?"
"Pika?" Pikachu was surprised for a second and started staring at Ash with disbelief, then shaking its head.
"So it's still not good enough?" Ash sighed.
"Pika" Pikachu nodded its head, looking away from Ash.
"It's okay; I'm sure we'll be best friends in the future." Ash sighed again, a bitter smile showing up on his face, and stood up. "What a hard-dealing Pokemon, like that annoying Dugtrio." Ash felt aggravated the moment he stood up; in Ash's eyes, Pikachu was just another Dugtrio.
Then the sound of grass ruffling appeared, along with the sound of a Pokemon.
Ash looked cautiously at the ruffling grass, and then a primarily brown-colored bird appeared in Ash's sight. "Pidgey, pidgey." A pidgey appeared with its head tilted, staring at Ash.
"A pidgey?" Ash relaxed and stared at Pidgey, having an urge to catch it as it was the first Pokemon he encountered on his journey.
Ash turned his head, but Pikachu wasn't there. Ash looked around for Pikachu and found it lying on a tree. Ash knew Pikachu wouldn't want to battle in a condition like this, so he grabbed a pokeball out of his backpack and threw it while shouting, "Growlithe, come on out!"
A blue light flashed, and Growlithe appeared. "Growlithe!"
"Pika?" Pikachu opened his eyes, seeing this shocking view. Not expecting Ash to have a Pokemon, Pikachu sat up, standing on the tree, wanting to see the battle between Growlithe and Pidgey.
Ash then took out his Pokedex, scanning for Growlithe and Pidgey's information. Then the Pokedex started saying, "Growlithe, a fire-type Pokemon. A poémon with a friendly nature. However, it will bark fiercely at anything invading its territory. It also has a superb sense of smell, ensuring that this Pokémon won't forget any scent, no matter what. It uses its sense of smell to detect the emotions of others. It can be evolved to Arcanine by using a firestone."
"A firestone, huh... Guess Growlithe won't be evolving for the time being," Ash thought as he turned his Pokedex on to the wild Pidgey, scanning it.
"Pidgey is a flying type of Pokemon. It is commonly seen in grassy areas and forests. It is very docile and will chase off enemies by flapping up sand. It usually hides in tall grass, and it doesn't like to fight. It will evolve into Pidgeotto by going to training."
"It might not be the best, but it's the first Pokemon I encountered, so I'll catch it either way. Growlithe, use ember on Pidgey!" Ash commanded.
A flare of flame came out of Growlithe's mouth, shooting at Pidgey. Pidgey looked at the flame and flapped its wings, dodging the attack swiftly. "Pidgey, pidgey!" Pidgey got furious, flapping its small wings, and whipped up a gust targeting Growlithe.
"Growlithe, dodge it, and use a bite on Pidgey!" Ash shouted and commanded once again.
"Growlithe!" Growlithe started running away to dodge the attack, but it was always behind Growlithe's back. Growlithe began to charge at Pidgey, nearly biting it, but Pidgey flew up, hitting Growlithe with the gust. "Growlithe..." Growlithe got blown away onto a tree. Growlithe was injured, but he stood up, glaring at Pidgey with fire in his eyes.
"Pidgey!" Pidgey looked at Growlithe with a mocking and scorned expression on its face from above and then flew away.
"Growl!" Growlithe growled at the flying Pidgey, unwilling to lose. "
Seeing Pidgey slowly fly away, Ash felt a little disappointed for not being able to catch it, but he knew the wrong was on him for losing the battle as he wasn't experienced enough in battling. He walked towards Growlithe and carried Growlithe into his arms, patting its head and comforting it. "It's alright, Growlithe; we'll win next time."
"Pika pi!" While the battle ended with Growlithe losing, Pikachu started laughing at Ash, enjoying seeing Ash make a fool of himself, but when Pikachu saw Ash comforting Growlithe, Pikachu stopped laughing, looked at the two, and felt a little envious.
"Growlithe return." Ash returned Growlithe back into its pokeball when Growlithe felt better and was in a more stable condition. Ash stood up and scrowled as he raised his head, looking at Pikachu, who was on the tree. He knew Pikachu was laughing at him, which made him pissed off.
"Don't laugh! It's rude, you know?" Ash shouted and started complaining to Pikachu about its attitude.
Pikachu recovered from the envious feeling it felt and stuck out its tongue, mocking Ash. "Pika pika!"
"Oh, you little!" Ash threw his backpack on the ground to loosen some weight off him and started climbing up the tree. Ash swiveled his hand while almost reaching for Pikachu, swearing that he'd teach Pikachu a lesson for laughing at him just now.
Ash was right next to the branch Pikachu was standing on, but Pikachu isn't stupid; it won't just stand there for Ash to "teach it a lesson." So Pikachu leaped off the branch the moment Ash was about to grab him.
And the second Pikachu leaped off the tree branch. Ash crashed into the tree branch, and unexpectedly, the tree branch broke, and Ash fell to the ground along with the tree branch. "Ow...."
Ash sat up from the ground and stared at Pikachu with resentment in his eyes.
"Pika pika!" Pikachu laughed again and started running throughout Route 1.
"Hey! Don't run, Pikachu!" Ash shouted as he staggered up from the ground and took his backpack, chasing Pikachu from behind.
A few minutes later, Ash gasped, finally chasing up to Pikachu's steps. Taking a close look, Ash found Pikachu and a Spearow looking at each other full of hostility.
Ash took out his pokedex and started scanning for Spearow's entry. "Spearow a flying Pokemon. Its reckless nature leads it to stand up to others—even large Pokémon—if it has to protect its territory. but unlike Pidgey's, Spearow has a terrible attitude and can sometimes attack Pokémon and humans."
When Ash heard the entry of Spearow, he felt chills behind his back. He raised his head and found Spearow glaring at him sharply. The Spearow then took his sight back and landed it on Pikachu again.
And the pokedex interrupted, "Wild Pokemon tend to be jealous of human-trained Pokemon."
"Why though?" Ash questioned and looked at Pikachu and Spearow, just a sight away, and the two are now fighting already.
"Spearow!" Spearow's swift body was trying to use it's beak to peck Pikachu, but Pikachu dodged it easily on the open land.
"Pika pi!" Pikachu molded its head into a Spearow-like head and started making stupid and foolish expressions, then laughing and rolling on the grass, provoking Spearow.
"Spearow, Spear!" Feeling humiliated, Spearow targeted Pikachu with fast speed and a sharp beak, ready to peck this electric mouse into its misery.
"Pikachu!" Even though Ash thinks Pikachu is really hard-dealing, Pikachu's still his starter Pokemon and a special one as well, so Ash still doesn't wish for his Pokemon to get hurt.
"Pikachuuuuuuu!" When Spearow got close, Pikachu struck it with a thunderbolt, and Spearow crashed to the ground, all crisped.
"Spearow...!" The sky began to grow dark, and the wind howled as Spearow crawled up from the ground, unexpected tears welling up in its eyes.It turned its direction and screeched for it's friends and family to help it seek revenge on the electric mouse. "Spearowwwwwwww—"
As the Spearow screeched, a bolt of lightning struck as well, and a flock of Spearow's flew out of a large tree, swooping towards the direction of where Pikachu was.
"Oh, this is bad..." Ash mumbled as the crowd of Spearow's began nearing them. "Pikachu run!" Ash shouted, and the two started running, but no matter how fast they ran, the crowd at Spearow's would always be behind them.
"Hey! Don't run so fast, Pikachu—owh!" Ash exclaimed as he saw Pikachu run further away from him, then the Spearow's chased up and started pecking him and his innocent hat.
"Pika pi!" The Spearow's and the spearow from before started pecking Pikachu, causing it to be unable to attack back because of the non-stopping attacks.
"What troublesome!" Ash thought as he rushed into the crowd of Spearow's and carried the bruised Pikachu into his arms and started running again until he ran into a dead end, and below was a flowing river.
"Darn it..." Ash turned his head, and it was a flock of Spearows, so he took a deep breath and dove into the river.
...
Near a river, a young girl with orange hair and viridian eyes is currently holding a fishing rod, and the weather has turned sunny again. A few minutes later, the rod moved, and the girl started pulling the rod. "I got a bite! And it might be a big one as well!" The girl cheered while pulling the rod with difficulty, as the bite was quite heavy.
A second later, the bite finally came up, and what came up was a boy and an electric mouse.
"Woah!" Ash screamed as the last second he was in the water, the next second he was in the sky and saw an orange-haired girl, and the next next second he crashed to the ground with Pikachu.
"Oh, its just a kid." The girl mumbled disappointingly, but when she saw Pikachu, her eyes lit up. "Oh, and a Pokemon! Are you okay?" The girl jumped and stood beside Ash and Pikachu, asking Pikachu.
"Cough, yeah, I'm okay." Ash coughed some water out as he swallowed some water when he was in the river and replied to the girl, thinking she was asking him.
"I'm not asking you! Look what you've done to the poor little thing! Is it breathing?" The girl used a scolding tone, scolding Ash for not taking good care of Pikachu, and this made Ash dislike this girl immediately.
"Yes, Pikachu's breathing also; what makes you think I didn't take care of Pikachu? We were chased by a flock of Spearows! If I could, I wouldn't want this to happen, so don't say I don't take care of my Pokemon before knowing if I did or didn't." Ash talked back and saw the flock of Spearows coming on their way again.
"They're back!" Ash stood up and started running when he saw a bike and rode on it.
The girl was dazed at first because of Ash's saying, then noticed Ash ran and was riding her bike. She shouted. "Hey, that's my bike! What are you doing?"
"I'll be borrowing this!" Ash said, then cycled the bicycle on the path in front of him.
The sunny sky turned dark again as Ash started cycling. Rain started dripping from the dark clouds, making the path slippery.
"Ah!" While Ash was trying his best to flee away from the flock of Spearows, the Spearows caught up and started pecking Ash from behind. And not taking a close look, the bicycle slipped, Pikachu and Ash fell to the slippery path with Pikachu a few meters away from him, and a thunderbolt from the sky struck.
"Darn it! Pikachu get into the pokeball, it'll be safer." Ash grabbed Pikachu's pokeball and crawled to the spot where Pikachu was, but Pikachu refused to go back inside the Pikachu.
"Why do you have to be so stubborn at this time..." Ash felt helpless, not knowing how to solve this problem, until he saw the pokeballs inside his backpack.
""Why did I forget about this!" Ash forgot that he had other Pokemon, and he took a pokeball that contained Persian. "Persian come out!" Ash then turned his head, put his backpack beside Pikachu, and told Pikachu, "Take a rest Pikachu, Persian and I will deal with this!"
Ash then turned around to order Persian to battle with the flock of Spearows. "Persian, we might lose on our numbers, but I know we'll win! Use fury swipes!"
"Persian!" Persian was shocked at how many Spearows she needed to fight, but it can't be avoided. Persian leaped and swiped a few Spearows down, but there were just to many Spearows.
And as time slowly passed, Persian was slowly tired out, not having anymore energy to battle back. Ash knew this and returned Persian back into its Pokeball, "Persian return!" Ash doesn't have Pokemon to fight back the crowd of Spearows; Pikachu's injured and unwilling to battle; Persian doesn't have energy to fight; Growlithe's still recovering; and Furret's wouldn't be able to be battle in that size for long.
Ash didn't know what to do and spread out his head, shouting at the crowd of Spearows angrily. "Come at me, you Spearows! If I survive this, I'll make you pay!" Ash shut his eyes close, waiting for the crowd of Spearows peck to land on him, but after a few seconds, he felt no pain.
"Pika......" Pikachu saw Ash facing the flock of Spearows all by himself now. Pikachu was a little moved and used all the energy it had to jump in front of Ash, using a thunderbolt on the flock of Spearows. At the same time, a thunderbolt struck on Pikachu, enpowering its thunderbolt.
Slowly opening his eyes, Ash saw Pikachu strike the Spearows with a thunderbolt before the thunderbolt hit himself, making him crash a few meters away to the ground. Pikachu's thunderbolt also struck the sky, causing the dark clouds to dissipate and the weather to turn sunny.
"Pika...." Pikachu called out for Ash with a feeble tone, as the thunderbolt just now had consumed all of Pikachu's energy.
"Pikachu.....I guess we've won, huh....?"Ash murmured in a laid-back tone as he opened his eyes and glanced at the weak Pikachu.
"Chu" Pikachu slightly nodded its head in reply as the sunlight shone on Pikachu.
A rainbow appeared in the sky, and a bird that was glowing in seven different colors flew by Ash and Pikachu.
"Pika!" Pikachu recovered some energy and jumped on to Ash's shoulders, seeing the Pokemon glowing with seven colours and Pikachu noticed the feather, Pikachu then started trying to hint Ash making him notice the falling feather .
"Huh, what is this?" Ash mumbled to himself after noticing the feather through Pikachu's constant hinting and Pikachuing. The feather was rainbow colored, and Ash began to to see if it was special before putting it in his pocket.
With stars shining in his eyes and looking at the rainbow in front of him, Ash exclaimed, "Pikachu, we will meet that Pokemon again soon!" He felt in his heart that that Pokemon had to be special.
"Pika Pika!" Pikachu responded, looking at the rainbow as well.
