-Ash gets a call in the middle of the night that he needs to go fight someone in the Orange Islands
-he leaves in the middle of the night and forgets to tell anyone or leave a note
-TR takes Ash to Pallet Town to swap out team (since this is early kalos, him only having Froakie, Fletchling, and maybe Hawlucha) and OI
-After Ash arrives in OI, he realizes he forgot to tell anyone thst he left, sends TR back to tell his travelling group
-meanwhile, the kalos gang is extremely worried and looking for ash all over, calling friends and probably reported to jenny at this rate
-when TR arrives, no one believes a word they say even when they have like eight hundred things of proof because the others think they're faking the proof
-someone probably suggests that they mimicked Ash's voice and Team Rocket are just like "We've tried that before. Didn't work as well as you'd think"
-The others are convinced they kidnapped Ash and Pikachu
-TR is arrested probably
-use their call for Ash who, just out of the battle (he won) can finally explain the situation and how TR was his transport (if needed, also pays bail)
-when Ash gets back the weird relationship with TR has to be explained
-possible plot twist (not required or important): TR are spies in Team Rocket anymore???
