Epilogue
After standing there for a few minutes, the PokeChasers turned and walked into the tower to survey the damage.
They walked downstairs and found Brycen and Nathan covered in dust, handcuffing Drago.
"You may have caught me," Drago told them. "But this is only the beginning! Their are many more like me, many more powerful then me, and they want the same thing!"
He turned to the PokeChasers. "All your sacrifice today and everything you did means nothing. The universe will be cleansed-"
"No," Chase vowed. "It won't. I will do everything in my power to make sure that doesn't happen."
"Me too," Sierra said, her voice shaky. "Chris will not go unavenged. You're plan will never succeed as long as I walk this planet. I swear it!"
Drago started to reply, but he never did. Officer Jenny and the authorities ran into the room and Nathan handed her Drago. "Thank you Officer Nate," she told him. Turning to the kids she said, "And thank you."
"All in a day's work," Chase said. Sierra punched his shoulder playfully. "You're such a kid."

As the group walked downstairs, Chase had some questions for his dad. "Why'd Jenny call you Officer Nate?"
Nathan pulled out a badge. "Nate Zecrome," he said. "Undercover Detective."
"You're a spy!" Chase exclaimed. "Cool! My dad is a spy!"
"Shhhh. This conversation goes no farther than this stairwell."
"Sorry."
When they reached the bottom, Sierra immediately ran over to the pile of rubble on the tower's right side, the side Chris had fallen out of. Chase ran after her, ready to find their fallen friend.
After an hour of sifting through the rubble, Chase and Sierra found nothing. Chris wasn't there.
Chase stood up and walked over to Sierra, who was on her knees, still sifting. He gingerly touched her shoulder. "I'm sorry," he told her. "She's gone."
"No," Nathan said from behind Chase. "If she was dead, her body would be in the rubble."
"You mean-" Sierra began, her face instantly brightening.
"Chris is still out there somewhere." Nathan told her.
"Well, that's enough for me," Sierra said. "I'm just glad she's alive. Maybe we'll see her again someday."
She turned to Chase. "But for now it's just you and me, like before. We're the PokeChasers. Friends of Pokemon and enemies of those who hurt them."
And with that, the PokeChasers walked back to Chase's house, wondering what awaited them.

Later that evening, Chase went for a walk down Route 8, pretending to be visiting his old stomping grounds. He really had only one thing on his mind.
As he approached the place they called the Moor of Irricus, it started to lightly snow. "Just like when I was a kid," Chase thought. He remembered playing in the snow with his friends, building Pokemon out of snow, and then throwing snowballs at them, pretending to battle.
Then, after the sun slipped below the horizon, snow would begin to fall, and Chase would retreat indoors to sit by the fire and drink hot chocolate.
"Some things never change," Chase thought. "The sun still sets, the snow still falls..."
He was reminded of a song his mom used to sing to him. As he walked into the Moor, he began humming. He started walking through the Moor, sliding across the iced over ponds, climbing the hills, just like he did as a child.
After a while, he stopped and shouted, "I know you're here! You can come out!"
Behind him, the trees rustled. Chase turned and saw the Pokemon from that cold night so long ago.
It was two stories high, with huge black wings. It was gray and had six legs. Its red eyes studied Chase with intelligence, and its golden crown glittered in the dying sunlight.
"It is not yet time," the Pokemon spoke in Chase's mind. "We shall meet again soon." The Pokemon turned around and disappeared back into the trees.
"Wait!" Chase called. "What's your name? Tell me at least that."
But the Pokemon didn't hear him. Chase stared at the spot for a few seconds, wondering if it would return.
Chase turned back and began to walk home. "I know now that you're real. That is all I needed to know," he said aloud. "Next time we meet, I will catch you! I swear it!"
And so, Chase, with a new goal to achieve, walked home to join his friends, both new and old.
"Times are changing," Chase thought. He smiled, thinking of all the friends he'd met since beginning his journey. "But I will always have my friends. That's all I need to keep going."
"Friends."

"Sam, use Water Pledge!"
"Flare, Flame Blitz!"
Sam, once Chase's Dewott, and Flare, who was now an Emboar, both attacked fiercely.
"Bouffalant, dodge and use Zen Headbutt," Alder, the Unova champion, commanded his partner. "Braviary, Brave Bird!"
Bouffalant was fast, but not fast enough. Sam nailed him with the move and knocked him out.
Braviary surrounded itself in blue energy and flew towards Flare at supersonic speeds. The Pokemon collided, causing a large explosion. When the dust settled, Flare was the last Pokemon still standing.

After being inducted into the Hall of Fame, the PokeChasers used their Pokemon to fly home.
"So, what should we do now?" Sierra shouted over the wind.
"Well, we want to be Pokemon Masters, right?" Chase shouted.
"Yeah."
"Then I know just the place..."
