Chase arrived at the gym at the same time as Sierra did. They both charged into the gym and ran straight through a wall. A wall of honey, that is. "This place is a maze of rooms. Just follow me, I know the path like the cheeks of a Pikachu." Sierra looked at him, confused.

"Cheeks of a Pikachu?"

"It's a good thing."

In a matter of seconds the two of them burst through the last wall, into the main chamber, and saw... Burgh. No Team Plasma. No Drago. Just Burgh. "Well, I assume you've come to battle me." he said.

"Actually, we thought someone was robbing the gym." Chase told the gym leader. "But we'll take a battle.

Sierra went first. She blew away Burgh's Pokemon with Flare's Flamethrower, using the same strategy she had to win the bet. After Burgh healed his Pokemon, it was Chase's turn. "Go Sky!" Chase was using his flying type first, hoping to follow Sierra's strategy of one-shotting all the Pokemon. "Go Whirlipede." Burgh sent out his poison/bug type Pokemon. "Sky, use Gust!" Sky stirred up a powerful wind, which made quick work of Whirlipede. "Come out Dwebble!" Burgh's second Pokemon was a hermit-crab like creature. "Use Rock Blast!" Dwebble formed a rock in between his pincers and hurled it at Sky, knocking her to the ground. "Sky, return. Go Wott!" Chase threw out his firs Pokemon, counting on it's water type moves to take out the rock type Dwebble. "Wott, use Aqua Jet!" Wott surrounded himself with water and smashed into Dwebble, making him faint.

"Go Leavanny!"

Now Chase was in trouble. Leavanny was a powerful grass type. The powerful part was proved with Burgh's next move.

"Leavanny, Magic Leaf."

Glowing leaves appeared out of nowhere and smashed into Wott. Wott fell over, out cold.

"Wott return."

"Oh no!" Sierra thought. "He lost!" Then Chase surprised her. He pulled out another Pokeball

"Go NinjaBlade!"

The creature revealed was about as tall as Leavanny and completely green. It had blade like front hands and wings. "What is that?" Sierra wondered. She pulled out her Pokedex. "Scyther," she thought. "How on earth did he get that?"

"NinjaBlade, X-Scissor!" The Scyther's front 'arms' began to glow. It lunged at Leavanny and slashed it with both blades. "Now! Finish this with Wing Attack!" Ninjablade's wings started to glow. He flapped them towards Leavanny and a transparent wing, twice the size of NinjaBlade's, slammed into Leavanny, knocking her out.

Burgh turned to the PokeChasers "Well then. I owe you both a badge."

"So how did you get a Scyther?" Sierra asked Chase as they left the gym. "Well, as I was slowly making my way through Pinwheel Forest, enjoying the nature-"

"Sure. Enjoying the nature."

"As I was saying... As I was walking through the forest, I saw was attacked by this Scyther. It was poisoned (probably a Venipede attack) and badly hurt. I simply earned its trust, nursed it back to health, and then it agreed to join my team."

"Cool! Well, before we leave..." Chase suddenly realized Sierra had led him to the Castelia Cone cart.

"I believe you owe me some ice cream."
