(Y/n's pov)
I had finally arrived in Sunyshore City, I could finally challenge for my Beacon Badge. My partner Shinx, a golden shiny that I hatched before I started my journey, and I were excited to meet our next opponent but firrrrrrrrrrst I had to go visit my cousin Flint!

"Lets go Shinx we're off to see our favorite red broccoli headed idiot!", I cheered as my golden partner hopped on my shoulder.

Sunyshore was a beautiful city but I kept getting side tracked by all of the beautiful buildings and sights until Shinx ran off on me!

"Shinx! Shinx wait!", I screamed as I chased after the little furball!

Soon I was running through a forest to catch my partner, honestly what got into her all of a sudden? I skidded to a stop as something up ahead caused an explosion, it was either a battle or bad news! I continued running after my Shinx hoping she was alright.

"Shinx!", I cheered seeing her come to a stop as she looked out at something.

I fell to my knees as I scooped her up into my arms and thanked Arceus that she was alright. That's when I felt something shock my cheek, as I opened my (e/c) eyes I saw myself face to face with a huge Luxray. Shinx cheered in my arms as she called out to the fully evovled creature, that's when I noticed we weren't alone. Behind the huge Luxray was a trainer, he was pretty handsome in my opinion and I could feel my face heat up as he continued staring at me with those gorgeous sea blue eyes of his.

"And who are you?", he asked coldly as he continued to inspect me.

I couldn't answer him since I was to lost in his eyes...well that was until I was tackled into a hug.

"(Y/n)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's you, it's really you ahaahaaa!", I recognized the voice as my cousin Flint and smiled as he continued to nuzzle his cheek against mine.

"Hey to you too Red Broccoli! Now let me go!!!", I cheered as I squirmed in his grip.

We both started to laugh with each other until an awkward cough snapped us out of our own little world. Flint and I looked over at the cute Blondie from before and obviously Flint knew the guy since he wrapped his arms around his shoulders and laughed with him.

"Sorry bout that man, I just got excited seeing my lil cousin again!", Flint cheered letting his Infernape out to see me again.

As I said hello to the emotional fire monkey Flint and his friend kinda went off to talk though I didn't really know about it.

(Narrator's pov)
"Wait so that gorgeous woman over there is you cousin?", Volkner spoke seriously as he looked back at you playing with his Luxray.

"Yup that little firecracker is my cousin, why didn't you know?"

"No! She looks nothing like you!", Volkner replied letting his volume raise.

Flint stared at his blushing friend and than at you as he quickly pieced it together. Volkner liked you! The ginger haired man chuckled as he tried to say something but Volkner slapped his hand over Flint's mouth to keep him from saying anything. As the two were busy they hadn't noticed a group of Team Galactic members capture you and the pokemon. Volkner was the first to notice and he immediately got worried for both you and his Luxray.

"(Y/n)! Luxray!", he yelled as he chased after the group.

"Volkner wait up, there's nothing to worry about!", Flint yelled as he chased after you.

Suddenly a bright light flashed inside of the group of Galactic grunts and no one could see. Volkner caught briefly what had happened, your Shinx had evolved into Luxio and escaped the net, this not only let the other pokemon escape but it also let you escape from Saturn's grasp.

"Sorry but I'm not that easy to catch! Luxio use thunder bolt, Infernape use flame thrower!", (Y/n) cheered as the team galactic goons disappeard.

Flint finally caught up to Volkner who was not only shocked but impressed, Infernape cheered as it returned to Flint but Volkner was still a little too focused on (y/n). She was strong, cute, amazing, and a powerful trainer, no doubt she'd be a great gym leader one day or even a Champion. Volkner could feel his cheeks heat up as (y/n) smiled towards him. Flint appeared once again as he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you towards him.

"And that right there is why she's related to me! She might not look like me and my fire types but she's definitely got that fiery attitude and passion in her. My cousin rules!", Flint cheered.

Volkner felt his cheeks flare up in jealousy and love as he continued to stare at you.

"Now that I think about it, I never got your name. My name's (F/n) (L/n), I'm a trainer aiming to beat the current champion.", (Y/n) smiled as she extended her hand to Volkner for a shake.

Volkner smiled at the adorable (h/c) head and gently took her hand in his and gently kissed hand, Flint watched from the background trying to stay silent and not ruin the moment.

"My name is Volkner and I'm the Sunyshore City Gym Leader. To reach your goal you'll have to go through me first.", he chuckled kissing your hand one last time.

Your face exploded into a blush when you realized you were crushing on the same person you came up challenge. That night you stayed at the Sunyshore Tower with Flint and Volkner but you couldn't exactly sleep so you went out to the main hall and watched the night sky from the huge windows.

"(Y/n)? What're you doing up so late?", Someone asked.

You looked over to see Volkner and Arceus did his bed head look cute. You said nothing as you returned to looking out at window and stared at the sleeping city below.

"You know, my mother always used to tell me about love at first sight and I never believed it-",Volkner stopped and gently turned you towards him so he could see you completely, "-until I met you. You've left a huge impression on me (y/n) and I don't want to let you go because of it. I'm scared to challenge you tomorrow."

"Why?", you asked innocently as a blush spread across your face.

"Because after you defeat me, I'll never see you again.", Volkner admitted as he pressed his forehead against yours.

"Than give me something that will make me want to come back."

"Like what?"

"Have you had your first kiss yet?", (y/n) asked.

Volkner shook his head no and soon enough his blue hues widened in surprise as you pressed your soft lips against his. He instantly melted into the kiss as he wrapped his arms around your waist, you both stood there under the moonlight in the dark tower just kissing all your troubles away. Flint was nearby and caught a quick glimpse of the events before respectful returning to his room with a huge smile on his face.

You both pulled away from the kiss with blushing faces as you stared into each other's eyes. You were in love with a manyou just meet and he was in love with you. You both shared one more kiss before returning to your rooms and prepared for the next morning.

"Electivire is unable to battle, the winner of this gym battle is the challenger (Y/n) (L/n)!", the referee bot cheered as he waved the green flag at you.

You cheered and smiled as you ran towards your fully evolved partner and hugged her tightly. Your Luxio had evolved into Luxray in the middle of the battle and the evolution played in your favor for this battle. Volkner walked up to you and smiled seeing you happy but he was still sad that you were leaving. He presented you with your Beacon Badge and you smiled as you hugged him tightly.

"Thanks for everything Volkner.", (y/n) smiled as the tall blonde gently tucked a strand of her (h/c) hair behind her ear.

"Of course (y/n) anything for you.", he smiled warmly at you.

You knew he'd miss you but you snuck your number into his phone before you started the gym battle.

"Volkner when I come back I promise I'll stay. Just wait for me.", you smiled pressing a kiss to his cheek before mounting Luxray's back to tavel to the next city.

"(Y/n) wait!", you looked back at him and blushed as he once again captured your lips in a kiss, "I'll be waiting, so come back soon."

"Yeah, I definitely will. Bye Volkner, I love you."

"I love you more, my little champion.", he smiled as your Luxray started to run off.

He waved goodbye to you were out of sight, even so he could feel a certain tingle on his lips. Sure enough he was feeling a new kind of electricity, the electricity of love. All your kisses were pretty electrifying after all.
