Wedding dress

" Hey Ash?"

" Mhm.*

" Did you order a wedding dress by any chance?"

Ash looked up. " What's a wedding?"

Misty groaned. " Okay. That's a no."

" Wait, but what's a wedding?"

Misty sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. “Ash, how do you not know what a wedding is?”

Ash tilted his head. “I mean, I’ve heard the word before, but I never really thought about it.”

Misty groaned again. “It’s when two people get married, you know, become husband and wife.”

Ash blinked. “Oh. Like Brock always talks about?”

“Yes! Exactly! Except in this case, someone ordered a wedding dress, and it wasn’t me.”

Ash scratched his head. “Well, it definitely wasn’t me either.”

Just then, the doorbell rang.

They both turned toward it, and Misty cautiously walked over to open it. Outside stood a deliveryman holding a massive white box.

“Delivery for a Mr. and Mrs. Ketchum,” he announced.

Ash and Misty screamed in unison. “WHAT?!”

The poor deliveryman flinched. “Uh… I just deliver the packages. I don’t ask questions.”

Misty snatched the clipboard from his hands and scanned the order slip. “Ash, this is addressed to us! It says we ordered a custom-made wedding package!”

Ash took one look and turned pale. “Misty, I swear I didn’t order this! I don’t even know what half these words mean!”

Misty’s eye twitched. “Who in the world would do this?!”

Ash shrugged. " How should I know?! Although that dress would look good on you." He added.

Misty turned as red as a Cheri Berry. “A-Ash! This is NOT the time for that!”

Ash just grinned, rubbing the back of his head. “Well, I mean, if we’re stuck with it, might as well make the best of it, right?”

Misty groaned, shoving the clipboard back at the deliveryman. “We didn’t order this! Take it back!”

The deliveryman shook his head. “Sorry, miss, but it’s already been paid for. No refunds or returns.”

Ash and Misty screamed in frustration.

Right then, Misty’s Pokégear rang again. She picked it up, already suspecting the culprit.

“Daisy!” she snapped. “Did you order a wedding package in my name?!”

Daisy giggled on the other end. “Oh, Misty, don’t be so dramatic. We’re just, like, helping you two move things along.”

Misty was fuming. “MOVE WHAT ALONG?!”

Ash, now slightly panicked, grabbed the Pokégear. “Daisy, I don’t even know how weddings work! Why would you do this?!”

Daisy giggled again. “Don’t worry, Ashy-boy, we planned everything for you! Just go with the flow.”

“WE’RE NOT EVEN ENGAGED!” Misty shouted.

“Details, details,” Daisy dismissed. “Have fun, lovebirds! Bye-bye!”

The call ended, leaving Misty shaking with rage and Ash looking completely overwhelmed.

They both turned back to the massive box sitting in their living room.

Ash sighed. “So… what do we do with it?”

Misty crossed her arms. “We find a way to send it back.”

Ash nodded. “Yeah. And if we can’t…?”

Misty groaned. “Then I’m making YOU wear it.”

Ash gulped. “…Fair enough.”
