Siri+ Baking= a disaster
" Add three cups of water to the pancakes." Siri's robotic voice directed.
Ash shrugged. " Whatever you say."
He put the water into the bowl and Misty mixed.
" Next add one cup of salsa.". Siri said
Ash blinked. " Uh... Okay?"
Misty blinked. " Salsa?*
Ash shrugged. " Siri asked for it."
Misty sighed. " Okay okay fine."
" Next some mayo."
Misty blinked. " MAYO?!"
" yes." Siri's annoying robotic voice directed. " It is a vital part of this recipie."
Misty shrugged. " Eh. Works for me."
" One cup of Mayo."
" Two cups of Wasabi."
" Some coffee."
" But we can't have coffee, Siri." Ash said, blinking. * We're only ten."
" I don't care."
Misty looked at the phone. " That thing has an attitude."
Ash shrugged. " Everything I get has an attitude."
Misty blushed slightly.
Everything.
Ash cleared his throat. " Anyway...."
" A pinch of salt."
" Vinegar."
" Now add some chips."
" Chips?!" Misty exclaimed. " We don't have any!"
" The alternative is a boyfriend."
Misty blushed. " I'm not doing anything to MY Ash, thank you very much."
" Then move your lazy bodies and get some chips!*
Misty's eye twitched. " Why you-"
" Calling the wedding planner."
" NO!" Ash and Misty yelled.
" Searching, ' no'."
" Siri-"
" No. No definition found."
" Siri-"
" Searching for nursing homes."
Ash blinked. " Why?"
" Because you are old."
Ash stared at the phone in disbelief. "Did... did Siri just call us old?"
Misty's eye twitched again, her hands balling into fists. "This thing has a death wish."
Siri's robotic voice chimed in, utterly unfazed. "I am programmed to serve you. Even if you are elderly and useless in the kitchen."
Ash slammed his hands on the counter. "That’s it. Siri’s going down!" He lunged for the phone, but Misty yanked it away.
"Wait, Ash! If we break it, your mom's going to kill us!"
"Well, we can’t let this thing talk to us like that!" Ash shot back. Pikachu and Togepi, both wide-eyed, huddled in the corner as if the phone was about to grow legs and attack.
Siri spoke again, its tone almost smug. "Perhaps I should search: how to handle toddlers with anger issues."
Misty’s face turned red as she held the phone up to glare at it. "Listen here, you annoying, glitchy piece of junk! If you don’t shut up and give us a normal recipe, I swear I’ll—"
"Searching: threats against Siri. Contacting authorities."
Ash panicked. "Authorities?! Misty, it’s calling the cops!"
Misty froze, eyes wide. “Ash, do something!”
Thinking quickly, Ash grabbed the phone and held it up like a Poké Ball. “Pikachu, Thunderbolt!”
Pikachu blinked and tilted its head. “Pika?”
“Please! Just a tiny zap!”
Pikachu hesitated, but Misty gave a desperate nod. “Do it, Pikachu!”
“Pika…CHUUU!”
A small spark jolted out and hit the phone. Siri’s voice fizzled mid-sentence.
"Contac—bzzzzt—authori—error—zzt—goodbye."
The screen went dark, and the kitchen fell silent.
Ash and Misty stared at the phone, panting. Finally, Misty slumped against the counter with relief. “Is it… is it dead?”
Ash cautiously poked the phone with one finger. Nothing happened. “I think so.”
Pikachu and Togepi cheered, clearly relieved that the chaos was over.
Misty sighed, sinking into a chair. “Ash, we are never listening to robots again. Ever.”
Ash nodded vigorously. “Agreed. First Siri tries to poison us with mayo and wasabi pancakes, then it calls us old. I don’t need that negativity in my life.”
Misty groaned, rubbing her temples. “Next time, we’re baking normal pancakes. With a real recipe.”
Ash grinned, leaning back. “And no coffee, salsa, or chips.”
“And no smart devices!” Misty added.
“Hey,” Ash teased, smirking at her. “At least it called me your boyfriend.”
Misty turned bright red, grabbed a nearby dish towel, and flung it at his face. “Shut up, Ash!”
Ash laughed, pulling the towel off his head. “Fine, fine! I’ll make it up to you—let’s go out for pancakes instead.”
Misty smiled despite herself. “Deal.”
As they walked out of the kitchen, Ash gave the charred pan and splattered walls one last glance. “And maybe let’s tell Mom we lost Siri… forever.”
“Good idea,” Misty muttered. “No one needs to know this disaster ever happened.”
Pikachu nodded in agreement, while Togepi happily clapped.
For once, Ash and Misty agreed on something: pancakes were better left to the professionals.
