Vial 5 - Snow Horse
label: Snow Horse
I saw a snow horse in a mystic bay
which came to me when I went to lay
and took me to another land
where I later chose to take a stand
I pulled the branches off the trees
and cried and yelled for “me, me, me!”
the mystical world seemed to gather round
and sadly found my desire was sound
I said I wanted the moon’s lily beams
And the monkeys tin tillies in fudrooky green
The rackety rubles and coodles at bay
And the blueroo water’s shiny thick ray
“what’s this?!” the king cried with an obstinate bellow
“who brought this temperful young female fellow?”
the animals gasped as the snow horse came forward
his icy blue eyes seemed to pierce like a sword
I staggered back like a prude shaken tree
as I realized in fear, he was staring at me
and with that one look he told me why
he brought me into this odvel worlvi
the creatures now seemed to forget their fear
as they slowly, slowly were coming near.
the snow horse reared with a warrior’s cry,
and in a flurry of ice we were up in the sky
when we finally reached home I slowly got down
and apogicly I said, “please do come back ‘round”
the horse’s eyes brightened in happy joray
and then with a word, he faded away
I cuddled in blankets and restfully dozed
pleased with the end he had brightly proposed
for the snow horse left with one truth to keep
every night he will come, in the depths of my sleep.
