Title: Green Rebirth

It is beautiful.

She lays silent, drinking in the cool breeze

that wafts throughout the trees,

She lays, reverent, listening as the rustling leaves

whisper in the air.

Each single stem, each colored petal

pours warmth inside her heart.

She waits with calm contentment

in this field of nature's art.

Then the sunlight spills on green.

He silently steps forth.

She holds her breath, and smiles as 

he looks about in awe.

Breathing in, breathing out,

the nature breathes its life.

The sacred keep, the silent peace,

its presence glorified.

Then his eyes alight on hers,

elation bursting forth.

He walks to her, parting the grass

as the light spills behind his back.

Her heart is beating heavily,

as he bends down and grasps her hands.

Soft and tender, he carresses her cheek,

a plethora conveyed in those eyes.

"I took thee then, rashly." he said,

his voice husky with regret -

but she already forgave, brushing his lips

as she leaned into his embrace.

Breathing in, breathing out,

the two did breathe in life.

Their sacred keep, their silent peace,

their union glorified.
