Chapter Two
The common room had buzzed with Slytherin's old and new for the past few hours each and every one of them slowly trailing off in groups until it seemed only Pansy and Ivy were left sitting across from each other, Ivy who let her body fall limp over the large green chair while Pansy lay along the couch with her feet dangling over the arm.
"And what? He just stared at you?" Pansy echoed her friends most recent words tilting her head to find Ivy's eyes which had been closed while she let out a long held breath.
Ivy hadn't told Pansy of the conversation - if you could even call it that - she'd had with Dracos mother, she had however mentioned their slight run in at The Three Broomsticks. Detailing how she'd heard his father practically threaten the boy into making the family proud and how Draco had reacted upon seeing her.
"Yup" she popped the P falling even further back into the chair, "staring at me like he had been ready to tear my head from my neck"
Pansy scoffed leaning up on her elbows which due to the sound of the couches fabric beneath her had Ivy open her eyes, "you know what he's like" Pansy hummed swinging her body around to sit properly, "he hates anyone knowing anything about his super top secret life, unless he tells you himself" and didn't Ivy know it.
Once she'd heard Draco and Blaise discussing what their plans had been for an upcoming summer and the blonde refused to continue the conversation in Ivy's presence. Draco had always been secretive but as the years went on it had only gotten plenty worse.
"He seems—" Ivy paused to think of the correct word. Hotter, yes but not a good time to admit. Angrier, sort of. More cryptic, in a way. Pansys clearing of her throat gained a generic response from her, "different"
"Rough Summer I think" Pansy gave a near pitiful look, "I wouldn't want to spend minutes along side Lucius Malfoy never mind months" Ivy nodded in agreement, "from the little I hear, he's really forcing this we must follow the Dark Lord propaganda on Draco"
Ivy held her tongue for a moment unsure whether she should share the thoughts she was having with her friend, ultimately she knew Pansy could be trusted.
"Someone accosted my mother in the street the other week" she nodded without meeting Pansys eye, "forcing the same views on her because she is and will always be a Slytherin, that our path is that of the Dark Lords and all that lot" putting on a more menacing tone as she mimicked the words spoken to her mother, "I was there too, told me I should promise my undying loyalty and perhaps my family will be granted forgiveness for the sins of being Gryffindor?" Ivy let out a laugh, "honestly I genuinely believe they think him some type of God" she shook her head, "it's fucking psychotic, it's like a cult!"
"It is a cult babe" Pansy agreed, "I think they're roping my father in too" both girls standing to make their way down to the dormitories.
Ivy walked behind Pansy down the cobble like stairs that had oddly been utterly empty in their travels, usually you'd find groups of Slytherin's hanging around the staircases to smoke. It was very rare that Severus Snape made his way down to the dormitories, he'd often stick his head into the common room throughout the day to ensure there were no students skipping classes however the stairways were usually safe from his stalking.
Pansy turned on her heels to face her door, blowing Ivy a kiss before she entered with a whispered goodbye. Ivy on the other hand had to keep walking, being the furthest room was great in someways like the peace of being secluded but ultimately the walk from everyone else's dorm to her own was a killer.
Pulling a clip out from the back of her head, she let the hair fall down across her back as she unlocked her door with the other hand. Ivy always locked her doors behind her, her mother had always drilled it into her for her own safety, she understood of course but now it was a near irrational habit.
Shrugging the black cardigan off her shoulders and allowing it to fall into the basket by her door she relaxed a little. She was finally in her own space, day one had always been hectic but this year it had felt different it felt more somber than usual.
Lifting her head she let out a rather loud gasp at the silhouette of someone sitting back, legs spread in the large reading chair in the very corner of her bedroom. Feeling her heart leap at the darkness which surrounded them.
The person she now knew to be a man cleared his throat whilst leaning forward to tug on the lamp cord, illuminating his face.
Draco Malfoy.
Her stiffened posture relaxed knowing it wasn't who she'd immediately imagined it to be, Draco Malfoy was no saint but he couldn't be worse than the man who haunted her nightmares each night. Letting out a long and low sigh she made her way over to the large bed in its dark wooden frame against the wall opposite to where Malfoy sat. She was well aware he'd expect some sort of reaction from her, he'd want her to bite first and so she'd do the exact opposite. She'd do on as she would if he weren't here, ignoring his presence because anyone who knew him knew that Draco Malfoy despised being ignored.
A low hoarse laugh came through the back of his throat echoing throughout her room which almost had her tense up once again. She kept her back to him, untying the tie that had still been loose around her neck. Three years ago if this had happened Draco would've stormed over by now to grab her face and force her eyes on him, but this Draco was different. It was as if he knew the effect he had on her even when she tried to ignore him. He felt her fear when she saw the dark figure in the corner of her room and he savoured as much of that fear as possible. Now he knew she had been ignoring him on purpose, or rather, trying to ignore him but he was also aware that her head would be filled with thoughts and ideas of him and why he was here.
Running his hands down his covered thighs and squeezing tightly to release any possible built up tension, he stood. Ivy Wood was tall, just like her brother, in fact she was one of the taller girls in their house at five feet and six inches but Draco Malfoy was taller. He was so tall he almost looked like God now with the muscle he'd built up over the summer. Ivy listened to his somewhat quiet footsteps making their way towards her, feeling her heart rate quicken for every inch closer he became, that was until the sound of those footsteps came to a halt and instinctively before she could stop herself, her curiosity got the best of her and she spun on her heels to face him.
The room was still very dimly lit, by only the lamp in the corner which he now stood in front off having it illuminate around him like he were some sort of angel, a fallen angel.
He was close enough that should he extend his arm he'd be able to touch her, but not close enough to hear or see the pounding of her heart against her ribcage or at least she'd hoped. Lifting her head in the most confident motion she could muster she met his eyes, dark and alluring as ever. Her arms fell the her sides whilst she tried to slow her breathing.
Even in the dim room she could still see the smirk which grew over his lips, a smirk which she knew was due to the reactions she had given.
Draco loved to be in control, he craved it in fact but something about Ivy was different for him. The feeling of dominance fascinated him quite early on when he'd realised the power he had in all aspects of life but when it came to any girls he began to hook up with he realised they'd do almost anything he asked of them just to please him, they'd go out of their way to pleasure him hoping no other girl had done so in a way they did. None of them really understood what he wanted, none of them really turned him on, the control did of course but what fun is control without some form of defiance. Control was only enjoyable when it was earned, when he broke down walls brick by brick, he could only do this with someone like Ivy. She would never admit what she wanted but really he always knew a small slick part of her wanted him, it was rather obvious to the blonde at times. Like right now as she stood with her thighs tightly squeezed together because the fear, the darkness and the unknown had been just what got Ivy going. She'd never admit it and especially not to someone like Draco but the discipline that came after disobedience had her feeling intoxicated.
After moments of silence which had somehow not been as awkward as you'd imagine, she gave in.
"Why are you here Malfoy?" Breaking the silence and forcing herself to acknowledge him, knowing the thrill he'd get from it before she'd even spoken. Though his low hum let her know she'd been correct, the sound making her roll her eyes, something Draco picked up on his visions of just how bratty she could be only becoming more legitimate.
"Do your friends know?" His voice was so low she practically felt the vibration that came from his throat along with it. Her brows creased trying to work out just what he was talking about, he couldn't possibly know about her personal details. It had quite literally been impossible, it would be apparent that he noticed her quizzing expression because he would clarify, "about the Ravenclaw" he watched the sigh of relief leave her as her once again stiff from stilled and smacked off slightly.
A small laugh left her whilst she walked toward her set of drawers, pulling one open to tug out pyjama's for the night. Draco however didn't move, he watched her every move though to figure her out more if he could.
Draco had taken Pansys earlier words into consideration, about her slyness, her secrets. He then decided to delve into it a little further. Caught her sneaking off for thirty minutes after their arrival, with a Ravenclaw boy. He'd wondered how much of a secret they'd been, considering he'd sneaking off.
Turning around after closing the drawer and placing the items on her bed she clutched her chest, "however did you find out?" Her words being overly dramatic before letting out another laugh, "did you think you had something over on me?" She now made her way toward him, "did you spy on me Malfoy?" He didn't move letting her stop inches away from him, "you broke into my bedroom to tell me you know about my secret hookups?"
"Secret?" He repeated, "Tsk tsk, keeping secrets from your friends" making it obvious he knew exactly who this Ravenclaw had been
"Get the hell out of my dorm"

Hello Friends!
Just leaving a few quick notes on here.
Firstly, Draco will not necessarily be a nice person for a good portion of this book particularly to Ivy because when I say enemies to lovers I mean it.
Secondly, I will be attempting to write more detailed smut for this book, I've touched on a little spice in a couple books but this is really new for me so bare with me for that.
Finally, this series will not follow my George Weasley novel as timeframes and ages will not align and so Autumn Carrow will not really exist in this book.
Thanks!
