Naina enters a dark room, not even a single source of light was there. She heard muffled sobs. She witched on lights and saw her sister sitting against bed on floor in a fetus like position, her body was shivering. She sits beside her . She kept her hand on her shoulder..she stopped sobbing.

Sunaina saw her with red swollen eyes. Her heart came to her mouth looking at her misery. Naina quickly hugged her and cried. Sunaina hugged her back tightly as if it's her source of peace. They cried their heart out, their loud heart wrenching wailings can be heard from far. Their souls were broken but they find their peace in eachother. Not a single word was exchanged between them.

"Sunaina" Rajveer calls her when she was going inside her house. He comes near her.

His eyes were lowered in guilt, he didn't has the courage to look in her eyes "..am sorry."  He siad in a short breath feeling more guilty after saying it "meine jo kia.. wo, sorry ke layak nahi...gunah hai ..tumhare aur Naina ke emotions ke sath khelne ka .. kash mein tumhari baat maan leta.... Kash mein..theek se dono ki baat sunta... You were the victim aur meine tumhe hi saza di...tumhare sath bahot badi na insaafi hui aur meine kya kia.... Ek aur anyaye... Sirf itna hi nahi ..meine Naina ko bhi isme ghaseet lia jiska koi kasoor nahi...wo to Anjan thi humare kal se...fir bhi meine......", his voice chocked thinking about her. "Ranveer aur mujhme koi zyada farak nahi hai...tum jo saza dena chahti ho mujhe de sakti ho...gunehgaar hu mein tumhara.".

Sunaina takes a deep breath, somewhere she expected this conversation "galati sirf tumhare akele ki nahi hai....agar mein thodi himmat karke sab kuch bata deti to shayad halat itne kharab nahi hote...tum ruk jate..mein ye sab hone se rok sakti thi" her eyes misted "mein Naina ki khushiya barbaad hone se bacha sakti thi...sab kuch mere hath mein tha...magar, mujhme himat nahi thi... Sharam ati thi batate huye ki kya hua tha mere sath" she looks away in embarrassment.

Rajveer was shocked "tumhe sharam karne ki koi zarurat nahi, sharam usey ani chahiye jisne itna ghinona kaam kiya..itna sab hone ke bad bhi tumne himmat kaha hari.." he holds her from shoulders "apni behen ke liye dat kar khadi rahi..uske liye ladti rahi chahe andar se tum khud kitni tuti hui thi..." She looks at him with teary eyes.
"Har kisi me itni takat nahi ki wo apna bhayanak kal iss tarah bhula ke dusro ke liye jiye.... You are very strong Sunaina".

She wipes her tears, consoling herself "tumne jo Naina ke sath kiya, uske liye mein tumhe itni asani se maaf nahi kar sakti..." He lowers his eyes in guilt "magar iss baat se inkar nahi ki...hamari kismat ne uss waqt hamara sath nahi diya...magar aaj agar ek bar fir koshish nahi ki to sari zindagi pachtawe me guzarni hogi...".

He holds her hands " to tumhi batao mein aisa kya karu jis se sab theek ho jaye.... Uske liye mein koi bhi keemat chukane ko taiyaar hu" there was desperation in his voice.

"Naina ko mana lo.." he was shocked "usko firse jeena sikha do" he was looking at her in disbelief "wo aj bhi tumse pyaar karti hai...bas apne charo taraf ek mazboot diwar khadi kar li hai...tumhe uss diwar ko todna hoga.. usey ehsas karana hoga ki tum uss se kitna pyaar karte ho...meri Naina ko wapas le ao... Agar chot tumne di hai to dawa bhi tumhi laga sakte ho .. karoge koshish". She asks with hope while she herself was drowning in darkness.

Never in his dream he thought that Sunaina will ever let him get close to Naina let alone woo her...can he do it? Ofcourse he will do it..life is throwing another chance at him which is rare..he will grab it with both hands... He will fight for his love till his last breath.

Unaware of the fact that Naina was watching them from the window of her room. She wasn't able to hear them but the scene happening infront of her is breaking her more... Her sister and her husband, holding hands, consoling eachother...while looking in eyes intensely, It burns the small shattered pieces of her heart turning them into ashes.

She saw a relief on his face and hope in her sister's eyes..are they..? Together? Her heart dipped in pain. Why wouldn't they? After all they were in love...Rajveer told her himself many times...he loved Sunaina only and now when every misunderstanding is clear, there is no obstacle in between... except her.

Rajveer came back in his room. With a little hope in his heart to win her back. He did lots of mistakes in past, he did a sin of hurting an innocent soul. He punished the angel of his life with no fault of hers. He was so mad in his revenge that he failed to see her selfless love for him. She did not just loved him but literally worshipped him, she blindly followed his every step, giving her trust and what he did in return...betrayed her. Called her names. He broke her, he mocked her love. He insulted her feelings, her emotions. He made her feel vulnerable when mentioned their love making as meaningless sex. He kicked her out of his life again and again when she begged him.

Even after all this life gave him another chance in the form of their child, but in his foolishness when she came to him once again....he again rejected her which costed him a big time. He lost their daughter not just her but his Naina too, she too died that day... He can never forgive himself for his deeds. Neither he expect Naina to forgive him after all what he did was a crime. But that wouldn't stop him from approaching her.. he wants to tell her that how much he is repenting, he accepts that he was wrong. He will ask her to punish him for what he did to her. But at the same time he wants to tell her that how much he loves her.

He wants to tell her that it was just her love which always attracted him to her. It was only love which made him care for her. The love she always yearned for was there, from start but he realised it late. There was always signs in front of him that he loves her but he ignored them in his ego. He only loved her and no one. She is the only woman of his life with whom he fell in love. 

He looks around the room, it was same as she left it before. Her scent was lingering every where in their room. Her things were kept in place. He didn't dared to touch them, it's hers and only she has the right to relocate them. Her bangles, he yearns to hear their chimes as she jingles them. He opened the cupboard with heavy heart and saw her clothes hanging there. He grabs her dupatta and keeps it close to his heart, it has her essence. He wrapped it around her pillow and placed it on her side. He laid down beside it and hugs it to his chest as if it's not pillow but her. Her fragrance is there, which made him aware of her presence. He cried all night hugging her pillow, repenting how cruelly he made her suffer.

He pines for her just like she did in past. Now he realised how much it hurts when someone you love turns their back from you. Still he is nowhere close to her misery. He made her love him, he become her habit and then threw her out of his life like some used trash.This is just the begining of his punishment..she suffered long. She lost much. Now it's his turn to pay for his doings and he is ready to pay even if it costs him his own life.

He woke up when felt someone ruffling his hairs. He saw the person and sits up with a jerk "Naina.." He looks at her with shock and surprise what is she doing here?

Her eyes were filled with tears she lowered her face. He was feeling her pain, her misery. "Sab kuch kya se kya ho gaya Rajveer..... Hum kya the aur kya ho gaye".

He looks at her in guilt "sab meri wajah se....sab galati meri thi....nahi, wo gunah tha...meri wajah se hi to sab hua. Kismat ne mujhe dusra mauka diya tha... Lekin meine usey bhi thokar maar di..... Dekho, kaha le aya hu mein hum dono ko...jaha charo taraf sirf andhera hai...roshni ka ek katra bhi nahi" he hopelessly said.

She sobbed silently "it pains....it hurts, ab bardasht nahi hoti ye takleef, mere ansu sukhte nahi hai.... ye sab kab khatam hoga? I want to be in peace, mujhe meri pehle wali zindagi wapas chahiye...jaha pyaar tha, roshni thi....mujhe iss andhere se bahar nikalo Rajveer please...koi to rasta dhundo jaha iss dard ka ant ho".

He heart thudded loudly as he joined his forehead with hers while silently crying "I wish mujhe pata hota ki kya karna hai.... I wish I could undo my deeds. I will do anything to bring you back to life...." He closed his eyes "just stay with me.. I'll find a way...stay".

He open his eyes and was shocked not to see her. She was no where around in room...he search for her frantically in room when his gaze fell on her window. Where she was standing lost. His heart wrenched seeing her lifeless. Their gaze met....there was longing in them along with pain. Soon her eyes went stony, her body went stiff, she gave him long and hard stare then closed her window with a bang... shutting it close tightly putting curtains on it as if closing all the doors of her life for him which reach her. He slides down on floor crying on his fate which he himself ruined. He is left with nothing but regret.

"Dr. Randhawa" Anjali calls Gunny as he was leaving for hospital and she came to meet Rajveer but he denied to see anyone at this moment.

Gunny stopped and saw her...he recognised her. It was Anjali, Rajveer's bestfriend. "Hi, mein Anjali... remember. Hum pehle properly mile nahi the uss din office mein bhi jab aap aye the to ..."

He cuts her in between "uss din ke liye am sorry... I was rude, bina soche samjhe meine tumhare bare mein bahot kuch galat soch liya tha...it's just...mein apni dost ki takleef nahi dekh paya".

She smiled sadly.. "dard..... Yahi to ek rishta hai, jo hum sabko bandhta bhi hai aur todta bhi..... Ab Rajveer aur Naina ko hi dekh lijiye... Isi dard ki wajah se wo alag huye...aur yahi wo dard hai jisne unhe ek kacchi dor se ab tak bandh rakha hai".

"Lekin ye kacchi dor kab tak judi rahegi...? Kabhi to Tut hi jayegi...jaise aj ye dono tut gaye hai" Gunny said.

"Kabhi kabhi ek kacchi dor kisi pakke dhaage se bhi zyada mazbut hoti hai...kya pata jisey hum unka bikharna samajh rahe hai wo kal unhe ek sath chalna sikha de" she hoped for good.

"Aisa kabhi nahi hoga" he sternly said making her surprise with sudden change in his tone "Naina Rajveer ki wajah se already bahot kuch seh chuki hai ab bas ho gaya...Rajveer ko beshak apne kiye ka pachtava ho magar uss se Naina ki takleef to kam nahi hogi na, usne jo kuch Saha wo wapas to nahi liya ja sakta na...ab koi fayeda nahi".

"Lekin ek umeed to ki ja sakti hai na..wo hamare dost hai unki khushi ka khayal rakhna hamari bhi zimmedari hai..iss se zyada hum aur kya chahte hai unke liye, ki wo khush rahe". She tries hard.

"Jo insaan waqt rehte apni galtiya na sudhar paye uss se umeed karna bekar hai. Bahot samjhaya tha usey lekin wo nahi mana" he sighed as he raked fingers in his hairs "Naina ke ghaav bahot gehre hai...itni asaani se bharenge nahi uske mann par jo lage hai".

"Kya mein Naina se ek bar mil sakti hu..sirf thodi der ke liye..I promise mein Rajveer ke bare mein koi baat nahi karungi" she expectedly asked.

He shook his head "not now, her condition is still not so good, mentally. Abhi wo kisi se baat karne ya milne ki halat mein nahi hai...she needs some solitude to overcome her pain". She nodded in understanding.

"I guess then, I should leave...but let me know about her health" he nodded "Goodbye Dr. Randhawa".

"Anjali..." She stops as he calls her "you can call me Gunraj." She smiles and nodded.
