"Mom, can I please go, there is a party at my friends house" I lied, I don't really have friends but I've noticed my mom boyfriend, frank is getting drank again, never ending up well.

But when he gets like this I like to just spending time on the beach, the beach makes me feel safe, feeling that nobody or anything ever gave me but the beach, if it was up to me, I'd stay like this forever.

"you can't ran away from your problems Olivia."

"Mom, please" I begged. Hoping she'll understand, but she never does.

"You have school tomorrow, you can't"

I've nodded while I was walking to my room, I saw Frank had passed out on the coach, So I decided I'll just snick out, no one would notice and I'll be safe and happy.

"going somewhere?" I heard a male voice, I turned back and saw Frank standing right behind me while half of legs is out of the window

I quickly got in "I-I just-"

"JUST WHAT?" He said before he slapped me

I started shaking, "I am sorry" I said.

He got back to his coach, I knew if I was going to stay for another few minutes it's going to be worse.
I got out of my window and walked to the beach, the walking to the bitch was peaceful, quite, it was pretty late so there was no people, just me, my headphones and the beautiful sea

I just sat there, crying, listening to music.
Listening to music was my escape, escape from reality and my shitty home.

I didn't checked the weather and there was a hurricane, still better then home tho, so I stayed.

After a few minutes I saw two boys, I've seen them around sometimes because we goes to the same school and we all were from the cut side of the island.

I saw them noticed me and going to my way. I didn't knew what to do, and I saw they were walking towards me

"what are you doing here? It's 1 am and there's a hurricane." His friend asked

"I can ask you the same question" I said

"surfing" he answered

"There's a hurricane" I said confused

"John b, jj are you coming?" I heard someone shouting from a car

"Jj we gotta go" the brunette one said

"You want us to give you a ride to your house? It's getting colder" he asked me

"No I am fine, thank you"

"Come on you can't stay here"

I shrugged as an answer

"You wanna maybe come with us? You can stay at mine until you'd want to come back home" the brunette one offered

"It's really nice of you to offer but I really don't want to bother you, I am fine here and I'll be back home soon" I answered

"Come on!" The blondie said while he took my head to lift me up

"Okay okay but only for tonight!" I said as I saw the blonde one smiling

"Who is she?" Their friend asked while we were getting in their car

"Wait what's your name?" The brunette one asked

"You guys don't even know her name?? Jj you are so desperate to get laid"

"Oh sorry, i forgot to introduce ourself, my name is Olivia"

"The stress one who's driving right here is pope" he said while pointing at pope

"this one near me is John b" he said moving his finger to point at John"

"And my name is jj" he added

"Now you know who you gonna fuck" John b said

"Shut up man!" Jj said

We arrived the place they calls "the chateau"

The other guy named pope and John b started to chat about something, I just heard them talking about a boat in the hurricane ad jj told me I can stay at the guest room with him

"Thank you" I said with a smile

"Can I ask you something?" Jj asked

"I am not going to fuck you" I said

"No, not that" he chuckled before he continued "Why can't you come back to your house? Not that I mind you staying here, you seem nice, just out of curiosity"

"I had a fight with my moms boyfriend, I don't really want to talk about this"

"Okay it's alright I get it" he says and I nod

"My turn to ask something" I said

"Go ahead"

"Why are you being nice to me? I mean you don't even know me"

"I don't know, I just felt you needed a company"

"Thank you." I smiled to him

"No problem" he said smiling back at me

"Hey, Olivia?"

"Hey, jj?" I replied teasing him

"You welcome here anytime you want to"

"Thank you jay"

"Jay?" He asked, confused by the nickname

"Sorry I heard pope calling you that before I am sorry if it's too early I didn't mean to-"

I don't know why I said that, I feel like I am always says the wrong thing, like we only knows each other for a what? An hour maybe?

"No it's fine I like that nickname"

I felt relief why he said that because he looked convincing

"I think I better go to bed, it's getting pretty late"

"oh yeah I should as well"

It's been a while, I couldn't sleep thinking about jj, my dad, then jj again, my mum, and jj again, and a bit more about jj.

I kind of felt guilty about leaving my mum with my dad, I don't know if he's violet with her as well, maybe that why she don't like me leaving. But I just couldn't stand staying there.

And then my thought got back to jj, I don't even really know the guy but he seems so soft and he given me company when I needed someone the most, he was the someone

"are you awake?"I heard jj asking from the other side of the door, cutting my thoughts

"Yeah, couldn't sleep. Come in" I said

"Does something bothering you?"

"Just thinking"

"Is it about your moms boyfriend?" He asked and I nod

"You want me to come with you, When you get back?" He asked and I shakes my head

"Not it's fine but thank you" I said with a smile

"Oh okay, you can always stay here, you have to meet kie!"

"Kie?" I asked confused, don't know who is he talking about

"Oh yeah she's also one of the pogues, she's our friend"

"I really wants to meet her but as long as I am not at home my dad will get angrier." I said

"Uh can I ask you something? Maybe too personal?" He seemed concerned

"Yeah what is it?"

"Does your moms boyfriend gave you...?" He pointed on my cheek

I was 100% sure it was unseen, it wasn't that painful actually so I thought no one would notice, consider the fact that I didn't knew that I would sleep at stranger house

"No! Of course not!" I lied, didn't wanted him to worry

"It's fine if you don't want to tell me, but if you'll ever do I am right here"

His words was so comfort, it's only what I wanted to hear, I only wanted someone to care, that's what I thought, but when it happens I feel like it's wrong, he seems good, too good, and I don't deserve that.

I putted my head on his shoulders and fell asleep like that, I felt safe.

"Morning jay" I said with a sleepy voice

"Where is John be and pope?"

"They went fishing with kie"

"Oh okay, why didn't you go with them tho?"

"I wanted to be with you, I didn't wanted you to wake up alone" he said and I felt guilty

"You didn't have to do that"

"But I wanted to" he replied with a smile.

"Hey jay" I said with a sleepy voice

"Hey liv" he said and I had butterflies from the nickname, he was so cute

"That's cute I love it" I said

"Shut up" he said embarrassed

"Do you think it will be okay for me to stay here for a little while?"

"For sure!" He seem excited

"But I mean, it will be okay for all your other friends?"

"Yes absolutely" he said confidence so I was calm

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah" I didn't wanted him to worry about me more then he already does.

"Okay, if you need anything just tell me"

About a hour later John b, pope, and the other girl, I think her name is kiara, came back, They looked confused

"Who is she?" Kiara asked

"She's-" jj tried to introduce me but john b cut him off

"I thought she was leaving today" John b said

"she want to stay here for a while" jj said

"We found something interesting I want to share with you and she can't hear" pope said

"Just tell me" jj said

"I can't, we need all of us, me, you, kie and pope, it's important" John b said

"Why can't we just tell her as well" jj asked John b

"Why? Who even is she? She's just some random girl you wanted to hook up with" kiara said

"I think I should go" I said while walking away as I hear jj shouting my name but I kept walking, I didn't wanted to come between them or make them feel uncomfortable just because of me.
