Y/n POV

I woke up suprising early. It was 5 am and I laid down staring into the dark. Today is my sixteenth birthday. Everyone always makes a big deal about sixteenth birthdays. 'Wow, i've turned sixteen! I've passed a milestone!' I don't feel any different.

It's a Thursday which means I have school on my birthday. . . Yipee! Actually on the contrary, I don't really care if I have to go to school on my birthday, it's alot less boring than sitting around all day that's for sure.

Around six I finally got up, and I went to take a shower. A shower in the morning is definitely. . . Alot more work, but it feels nice to really wake up with a shower. A thirty minute shower was in the daily agenda for sure. After a nice shower, I laid down in my bed, with a towel, for a little while before getting dressed and going to the kitchen. I walked in, and saw my dad at the stove. I walked up and hugged him from behind.

"Hi."

He screamed and spun around quickly. "Oh. You. Happy birthday."

I smiled. "Hello. Oooh, waffles. Thank you."

He sighed, and put a few waffles on a plate for me. I put my favourite toppings and dug in. By the time I finished it was 7:30 and I had to finish getting ready for school. I walked to my room, and put on my blazer and my shoes. I grabbed my school bag and went to the front entry. My dad was waiting at the door.

"You ready to go kiddo?" He asked opening the front door.

I nodded, and we left the house, walking to the car. The drive to school wasn't that long, and I was there quickly. A quick hug from my dad, and I then walked from the car and into the school.

The school day passed quickly, and all my friends said happy birthday, and gave me a card. A couple people gave me 10 bucks or a little otter keychain, or something otter. In our friend group we have a weird obsession with relating ourselves to animals. Then again, half my friends quirks were them transforming into one specific aquatic animal. So Rin, Nagisa, and Haru, thanks. You've started something very weird in our group.

After school I planned to have dinner with my dad, but I was going to go to the café with my friends, and Bakugo & friends.

With all of us together, we had to make a change of plans. There were to many of us. With Rin, Haru, Nagisa, Makoto, Rei, and then also, Katsuki, Mina, Kaminari, and Kirishima, there were alot of us. So we instead went to the mall again.

When we were walking around the mall, Katsuki and I walked hand in hand. Was I feeling a little guilty I hadn't told him it was my sixteenth birthday? A little. But. . . I didn't want him to deal with that hassle. So, I let it be. I did find a nice blouse that I could wear on some special occasion with a nice pair of dress pants. We all bought a couple things, or in Katsuki's friends case, they held everything Mina and Kaminari were getting.

We all sat down at the food court, where I planned to meet my dad, and we all got a little something.

"Oh my gosh, y/n! You should have bought that dress you were looking at earlier! You'd look divine!" Mina gushed.

I laughed, "I'm not the biggest dress person. I have a few, and I do wear them sometimes, but, I don't know. . ."

"Well. . . Its a summer/spring dress, and the school year will be done in a couple months, so it'll be perfect to wear it. And I bought it for you. . . So happy birthday." I smiled and thanked her, taking the bag from her. But on the inside, I was panicking. Well, shit. The cat is outta the bag now.

"It's your birthday!? Why didn't anyone tell me!?" Kaminari yelled.

Mina cocked her head to the side, "I. . . did though."

"It'll be right back!" Kaminari yelled, amd he quickly ran away.

"And. . . He's gone."

"Well, y/n, from someone who bothered to listen to Mina, who by the way found out from stalking you social media, here." Kirishima said, handing me a bag.

I opened it, and inside, it was a UA graphic tee. But underneath there was a class 1-A shirt too. "Awe, Kirishima! Thank you! This is so sweet! It's not my school but this is my dad's school and class." I smiled, and stood up and giving him a hug.

I sat down beside Katsuki and snuggled into his side, setting my bags to the side. "All of you guys were so thoughtful with your gifts, thank you. Except you Rei. . . Thanks for the 20 bucks though. I'll definitely buy alot of coffee for studying for finals."

"So, this is what my students do in their free time?" I turned around and saw my dad smirking.

"Hey dad." I said, slipped out of Katsuki's grip, and giving him a hug.

"The one downside to being friends with you y/n. Your dad is our teacher. Hi Mr. Aizawa." Mina said waving.

"I'm back! Oh, Mr. Aizawa! Hello! Here y/n." He handed me a bag, and I opened it, to see a stuffed animal otter.

"Oh, Kaminari! How'd you know?" I asked.

"I texted Nagisa, who texted Makoto, who texted Rin. It took a total of 30 seconds." He said, plopping beside Mina again.

I thanked him, and kept the little bud in my lap. My dad sat on the other side of me, because Katsuki was on my right. My dad kinda checked out and took a nap while my friends and I just talked. Eventually it was eight O'clock and it was time for everyone to head home. My dad left an hour before, and I quote, "I've had enough of you children. See you monday." So that happened.

So we all walked to the front of the mall, and said goodbye to eachother. Katsuki was walking me home as usual when he stopped by a park. It was one of those parks with a pathway lit up but those light that string from trees or lamp posts. I belive they are called fairy lights. "Let's go for a little walk."

"We're already walking." I retorted.

He glared, unamused. "Okay, okay, sorry. I couldn't help myself." I said giggling.

We walked through the park, and it was actually very pretty. We were walking until I saw a gazebo and pulled Katsuki toward it. "It's so pretty Katsuki! Look."

"Yeah it is."

I stood, leaning on the railing, looking at a little lake that had a bridge. People were crossing it, and I was just watching. Katsuki stood beside me, holding one of my hands.

"Y'know. . . This is really nice. We don't get to do this too often. It's usually just the coffee shop of the mall with the gang." I said playing with the hem of my blazer.

"Yeah. . . We're always so busy. Whether it be school, or training, we barely have time for alot of things."

I looked at him and smiled. "Yeah. I wish we could just freeze time and stay here forever."

He chuckled, and leaned down, kissing my temple. "I love you. I'll always love you. I know alot of people frown down on highschool relationships, saying that we're not mature enough. And. . . Yeah. They're right, but I do know that I love you. And that I want to always be with you. Even if eventually, we're only friends."

I felt him press something small and round into my palm. I pulled my hand to my face, and there was a little knotted ring. I looked up at him. He had a light blush that dusted his cheeks, but he looked down at me endearingly.

"It doesn't mean I'm professing that we'll be together forever, and that I'm going to marry you, because realistically, alot of high school relationships don't end up that way. But it's a promise to always love you. Even if we're just friends. Because I do. I love you." He said, and he leaned down, giving me a kiss. I smiled into the kiss, and I gave him a hug after.

"Thank you. It's beautiful." I slipped the rose gold knotted ring onto my left hand on my middle finger, and showed him. He smiled and kissed me again before we made our way home. We stopped by my house and stood on the porch.

"Happy birthday love." He said smiling down at me.

"Wow, you've waited 5 hours to say that." I said teasing him.

"Yeah. . . I know. Tell your dad thanks for me." He said giving me a quick kiss, then turning around and leaving.

"Wait! For what!?" I asked him, as his form retreated away from me.

He looked over his shoulder, "That's for him and I to know." And he turned back around and left for his own home.

I sighed, smiling, and entered my house. My dad was sitting on the couch watching TV.

"Hey dad. Katsuki says thanks." I said passing by before going to my room to get ready for the night.

I smiled as I laid in bed looking at the ring. It was beautiful.

Aizawa pov

I smiled as she said Bakugo's thanks. She smiled, and waved,  the ring glinting off her hand, before she went to her room.

A few days prior

Bakugo stopped in front of my desk after class. "Is there anything you need young man?"

He took a deep breath, before launching into a very clearly, well rehearsed speech. "I love y/n. You know that. And I'm aware. . . You're less than happy with me, being your student, amd dating your daughter, but I plan to be in her life forever. Even if we don't stay in a relationship forever, I plan to be her friend until we die. Which as hero's honestly might not be as far as we imagine. I was to show her that I mean to always love her, romantically or platonically. So, I'm getting her a promise ring. I want your help. I have a jeweler that is well priced, but not cheap."

He handed me a slip of paper. "Meet me there if you're willing to help me. I'll wait until five. If not, I'll know your answer. I'll see you later, and if not, have a nice night." He gave a polite nod, then turned and headed out.

Now

I think it's safe to say that I did end up going and helping him. I asked when he was going to do it, and he said her birthday. He knew it was coming up soon, but couldn't remember the exact date.

Did I completely support them. . . No. But that's because I don't like Bakugo. But I love my daughter. . . And she's happy.

So I'm happy.
