Tw mentions of homophobia

Lloyd had always gone down to the docks at night. He always left the monastery at exactly 10 and was back by the morning. This had been the usual since just after the battle with the overlord, so around 5 years. Nya and Kai always questioned where he went but Lloyd always insisted he was going to close up the mergequakes. Nya and Kai knew he was lying, they could always tell, but they never prodded him about it. If Lloyd doesn't was to talk about something, it was probably something that should be left.

Arin had noticed this too. So one night, kai, Nya and arin decided to follow Lloyd down.

As expected, he left the monastery at 10 o'clock sharp. He made sure that everyone was asleep first, but the three had learned how to fake it.

They followed Lloyd down. He took some dark alley ways and when he arrived at an unused part of the fishing docks, they were ultimately confused. He sat down on the edge of the plank and waited. Around an hour passed before they saw something moving in the water. Suddenly Benthomaar appeared out of the water and sat next to Lloyd. Lloyd rested his head on benthos shoulder and they stared off into the distance.
"Who's that?" Arin asked
"Benthomaar, king of merlopia, what I'm confused by is why Lloyd meets him every night," nya responded
"So he's a king, like, a royal!"
"Yea,"
Nya's question was answered when Lloyd kissed benthomaar on the cheek. Benthomaar then returned the kiss before shoving Lloyd in the water. It only went up to his knees but Lloyd was soaked. He then returned the attack with a splash of water to benthos face. They kept playing in the water, like two little kids who had just discovered a swimming pool. They kept laughing and smiling as they threw and kicked water at each other. This went on for hours, both the boys playing in the water before they stoped and benthomaar grabbed Lloyd's waist and pulled him into a kiss. Lloyd wrapped his arms around his boyfriend's neck as they made out, waist deep in water, swaying side to side as they did. They broke this kiss and climbed back up onto the dock. Lloyd laid down, his head on bentos lap, with benthomaar braiding his boyfriends golden hair as he talked about there days. They seemed happy, laughing and smiling as they did so. But one thought kept racing through Kai's mind, why didn't he tell them? His mum was abusive and most likely homophobic. That was probably the reason. But benthomaar made Lloyd happy, happier than he usually is, and he would never take that away from his little brother.

"I didn't know Lloyd was gay," Arin whispered

"Yea, well neither did we but here we are," Kai replied

"He hasn't told anyone I don't think, he did have a traumatic past so he has lots of trust issues"

The two love birds laid down on their backs next to each other, staring at the stars. They cuddled together, pointing at consultations, holding hands, and warming hearts. What happened next was something nobody, not even the ninja, especially not Lloyd, could have predicted. Benthomaar stood up, and helped Lloyd up. He held his hands and talked to him a bit before getting down on one knee and proposed. The trio couldn't hear what was happening but they saw Lloyd nodding violently and crying slightly. Benthomaar slipped the silver band on Lloyds finger. It was a silver band with a small inset sea stone, a type of gemstone from kingdom of merlopia. The couple, now engaged and joining hands, walked up the docks and were now in earshot of Kai, Nya and arin,

L "I still haven't told them we're dating,"

B "why don't we tell them together then,"

L "I dont know, what happens if they, they"

B "come on, they love you, you're their family!"

L  "my mum crashed her car into a gay club to prove a point,"

B "yea, but your mum was a bitch,"

L "fair point, ok, if we tell them together, I'm worried what Kai will think, he's already judgmental of my love interest, well has been in the past."

The ninja trio ran back up to the monastery as Lloyd And benthomaar, unknowingly, followed them.
