just FYI here-- The first few chapters are concerned with establishing Natalie's life and family dynamic in Hawaii, so this section is "off-script". While it's going to be short, I wanted to give this beginning part its own act in order to keep my plot organized. That being said, in order to stay sane through this writing process, I won't be publishing the whole book (except the preliminary info bits) at once. So, if you're at all excited about this story, I ask for your patience and kindness as I begin to flesh and write out my story offline. I don't know how long it will take, but I planned to have this completely ready to publish (finished beginning to end) by August. Maybe sooner, but I wanted to give myself enough leeway to make room for possible writing, rewriting, and/or re-rewriting. I'm trying something different here, something I hope is more creative than in my past works. I hope you stick with me through this ride. It's going to be fun!
