Ol' San' (RaiderBooks)
Ol' San'
I once heard a tale of a jolly old man,
Whom gave gifts to all the nice children.
A man who travelled the world in one night
By a slay, pulled by reindeer with flight.
When I heard of this man
I was just two
Dreaming of ol' San'
And what he might give you.
Every year
I'd wait to see
For this man with a beard
And who he might be.
I never quite could stay awake
Till one night
I woke from a small tremor and qauke
And walked to the tree in fright.
There I found an old man
Placing gifts under the tree
Immediately I thought ol' San'
Only to be surprised, he was me.
I woke with a sweat
And before my eyes
My whole family sat
Sharing in laughters and cries.
That's when I realized
Ol' San' is us all
Just immortalized
In a tale so small.
His gifts were not items
But rather simply ourselves
As we spend time with family
And share us with themselves.
