Christmas

Christmas.

It's something I don't celebrate,

But its also something I do celebrate

Let me explain.

Christmas,

Is a time for giving,

A time to not just think about the presents you'll find under your Christmas tree,

But the presents you'll give

To the special people in your life.

Christmas,

Is a time for family and friends.

A time to come together,

Celebrate, catch up.

Maybe you'll see people you don't get to see very often.

Christmas,

A holiday that brings us together,

A holiday that lets us give.

Christmas,

Is all year round.

Everyone can celebrate it,

Religious or non-religious.

Everyone can celebrate it,

At any time of the year.

Christmas,

You don't have to wait for then to give.

You don't have to wait for then to get together with family and friends.

And maybe there's only one day that it is truly recognised

As Christmas.

But I celebrate it all year long,

And I don't have to believe in the religious stuff,

But I can believe in love and peace.

And so can you.
