Before any form of trash

Back when nature was pure

The dullest of colours would stand out

From the bright green grass

And the blue brilliant sky

But now

Those dull colours

Just blend in

With the pollution

Of the world

That unknowing humans created

And back before the time of litter

Ocean life thrived in the sea

And they knew then

What to eat

And what to not

But now

They do not know the difference

Between fish

And plastic bottles

Because humans

Careless

And lazy

Refuse to acknowledge

The damage they themselves

Are causing

To the entire world

They are breaking the earth

And in this state

There is no glue

Or tape

Or human

Strong enough to put it back together again
