May I warn you that his may not be the greatest haiku in the world, but it's been so long since I've written one. To me it sounds okay.

May winter fade away soon
So the summer rays can glow
Bringing children's cheer!

Birds singing sweetly
Carrying serenading sounds
Across an open glade.

And I've never written a senryu before so I hope this is close to what it's supposed to be.

Keep my mind locked away
Forever caging freedom
Never being content.

You know what? These are pretty good, for someone who usually never writes these kinds of poems. Picking topics that fit was a bit of a challenge in itself but they turned out wonderfully. Waiting until the next challenge. And yet again I'm early but I think this will work for my schedule to do it this way.
