Dear You,

I never said how beautiful you always were. Your caramel hair fell in perfectly straight layers around your shoulders, to frame your glowing skin. I never said how your eyes captivated me in a way I had never experienced before you came into my life. Blue, and full of life, I stared into them for an eternity, drowning in my wishes that would never come true. I never said how much I truly enjoyed having you by my side. I never said how you were like quicksand to me, and I could never seem to grasp a way out. I never said how you stuck to me, and how you still haven't let go. Now here we are, and it turns out I'm the one who had to let go.
