Thirty-Four
My momma told me
Life was tough
But looking at her
Full of strength and beauty
I never saw a weakness
In her eyes
Travel the world
I was apprised
But my innocent mind
Thought it sounded
Much easier
Than it actually would be
The world was a blanket
When I was a child
But now my legs have grown
And I have not realized
This comfort has turned rouge
Now a python
Strangling me
My eyes still look the the stars
Asking them,
Where I should go
Written quickly, as I am procrastinating homework.
