As our first topic I am going to lean towards a simpler topic. The poem can be anything from free verse to haikus (beware when submitting that I do not like acrostic poetry, no hate towards it i just don't prefer it.)

I am starting off with a topic I love to write about just to see how other people perceive it.

And...... the topic is The Night.

This can be the night as in a dark emotional space or literally the night as everyone knows it as. 

I am going to make a longer time period for this first challenge just so you have a bit more time to do it.
