Entry in the March is Timely contest - 2018

This month is apt to speak of time

For as we know it marches on

And like each passing day and year

Now it's here, now it's gone

It waits for no one on its journey

Nor does it care in how it's spent

The path it marches on is endless

So wasting it we will lament

No strings attached to how it's used

It can be borrowed, found or lost

It can be right or wrong or short

But not without a cost

Won't be replaced nor will it stop

No plea will cause it to extend

Because it will not suffer our regret

So use it well before the end
