Door to door the carollers sing

harkening Christmas cheer

ribbons and bows and fairy lights

in dazzling colours light the nights

Children's noses pressed to glass

wide eyes starry, twinkling

images of reindeer and elves

summoned eagerly by themselves

Families gathered in peace and joy

Christmas music fills each home

platters filled with fresh baked fare

smells of roasting turkeys in the air

While in each home a tree performs

displaying the season's grandeur

outside nature's land is a snowy duvet

preparing the way for winter play

For what we have we must give thanks

too many have so little

so celebrate with heart and keep in mind

to share your good fortune with all in kind
