Day 30: List of Heroines

So many girls now float about my fiction:
   First, Karen Waters and Isshoko Yara,
My first two heroines BEHIND THE MIRROR
   Who far outshone my male protagonist;
Then, Mary Sanders has her way with men
   In her hot rivalries with Tabitha Hale
And Monica Craft, my first ever trio
   From the budding MIRROR BEYOND THE VOID;
Then, Judy Windermere and her Grace Ransom
   (The female Sherlock with her female Watson),
Who somehow get mixed up with weird adventures
   Within the Nine Shards of THE LATE BIRD'S TALE;
Then, Allison Jeannette, who wields a blade
   Of magic of the Vorpal kind in ghastly
MURDEROUSLY DISTURBED poetic stories
   That will not fail to shock and horrify;
Then, Sakura and Momo now debut
   In little stories, while there counterpart
(The Ryder Ellabellabelle) has yet
   To debut in TALES OF THE FLOATING WORLD;
Then, Colbie Amame and Celia Hearn
   And Kendra Tellerman form the Dreamers' Club,
And the twin sister Cairns (Mara and Nico)
   And Celia's older sisters (Madison
And Katherine) join forces in their plight
   Amidst their dream-filled DAYS OF BLOOD AND ROSES.
May these (and future) heroines fill up
   My pages with their strength, their grace, their beauty,
And stir my waning words with all their passions,
   Their loves, their hopes, their dreams, their miseries,
Their deepest darkest secrets and their acts of grace,
   Their tears, their fears, and their sweet understanding.
Just as I give new life to them with words,
   They give their weary author life anew.
