Life is like a train
Everyone has their own stops
At their own different stations
At least one made each year

And at every stop made
You pick up new people
To join your unique journey
Of twists and turns and adventures

Some stay for the ride
Some leave before the end
But all ride for awhile
Bringing memories and laughter and love

Journey's are not the same
Some are smooth and easy
Some end in a crash
All different in time and length

Chugging along on your track
Passing through different life stages
Passing through different train stations
All passing by in a blur

When commissioned for a while
Joints get old and rusted
Movements wind down their pace
Things no longer work the same

All trains eventually stop moving
Some make early final stops
Some last longer than most
Because life is like a train
