Freezing snow
and lashing wind
Biting through
Right to the skin

Creatures cower
At Winter's might
And pray to make it
Through the night

Though cold winds blow
And little ones sleep
The sweet young girl
Can't help but weep

Winter took hold
All through the town
Stealing her lover
And bringing him down

At Winter's grasp
Now there she weep
But there it stops
Without a peep

It takes her hand
And begins to blow
Releasing the world
And far they go

They travel high
To touch the clouds
Then she sees him
And shouts aloud

Lovers embrace
And the world renew
New life in the sky
And two hearts that flew

Winter's at peace
The creatures appear
Gone is the plague
And spring is here.
