Eyes so bright

so blue

so alive

and full of life once born.

Now 19 years past that day.

Eyes now filled with skies not blue but grey.

They all say that eyes

are windows to ones soul.

Long ago I was told

that my eyes were so bright

they could out shine any star.

And they looked hungry for all

knowledge,

but now...

Would they say

if they saw my stone grey eyes???

What does that say about my soul ???
