A girl waits at the edge to fall into the blackness bellow.....

She doesn't want to wait anymore, Yet something holds her back.

She had nothing to live for; her father, a drunkard, would beat her. Others a school laughed behind her back, she had friends, but so few that they would never truly care for her.

Going back through all those thoughts and dreams brought tears to the girls eyes.

She began to teeter on the edge, she yearned for nothing more but the end.

She began to fall......... But stopped..............

The girl looked back to what was holding her back.

A hand held to her wrist, the hand belong to a friend.........

The friend cried out "Don't leave, please!"

"Why can't I?" The girl cried back.

"Because people do care for you!" the friend cried back as tears sprung from their eyes.

"Why would anyone care for me........"

"Because we do! Why wouldn't I or the others not care!"

"No one cares for me.........No one"

The girl began to slip. Though the friend refused to give up.

"We'll prove to you that we care!"

The friend took her arm in both hands and pulled with all her strength.

"Just let me fall, Let me fall to my end!"

Other hands reached out to grab the girls hands, wrists, and arms. Pulling her to the edge and away from the end.

"We wont let you fall to your end, because your part of our big family, that includes you. We stay together and never let one of us fall to their end."

The girl began to cry as her friend piled into hold her close.

"We wont let you fall"
They said holding on never letting go,
Just as they said they would
