When The Past Met The Future (Realization) 

 When the Past met the Future, it was an odd meet and greet. 

 The Past was in awe of the Future's Success and talked about her pain and suffering while the Future smiled within. 

 The Past cried, and said how hurt she was that He had left. 

 Bothered how the bullies picked on her in high school, calling her toothpick and bitch. 

 Saddened that she didn't love her body enough,

 Devastated that she believed she wasn't pretty enough, 

 Or smart enough, 

 Or even talented enough to compete with everyone else in the world. 

 Sorry for the Past's troubles, Future sat her down for a serious talk. 

 Behind her natural beauty, success and confidence, Future knew something Past hadn't yet learn. 

 She knew their would come a day when the Past would come to pass. 

 The Past was really up for anything else but speaking of what was. 

 But the Future knew more than what she let on, 

 You see, underneath all of Past's tears, 

She was blinded by fears and lowered by her dashed dreams - 

 The Past, in fact, initially couldn't really see, 

 Until the Future placed her hands on the Past's shoulder, and finally revealed herself saying,

 "Young girl, you are me."
