What went Wrong?

Curled up in a ball, there she lies,

With every sob, a part of her dies.

To stop the pain is her only wish,

What did she do to deserve this?

No one cares about me, she thinks,

Forever alone I'll be, She broods.

Looking up to the dark sky,

She sees the stars twinkle,

And upon a shooting star,

She wishes her own miracle.

But Alas! it's just a desire,

Once prevalent, now gone is the fire.

No one can understand, No one can comprehend,

Once and for all, it has to end.

Tired of crying, tired of trying,

Her only solace now is dying.

Shivering hands fumble with the blade,

To the world, goodbye does she bade.

Darkness elopes her as she smiles in bliss,

For it is now over, for death now has her kiss.

And never again will the world see,

a soul so pure, so clear, so strong.

They all but wonder,

What went wrong?
