I met my shadow day before

And it talked back to me.

Telling me the unknown truth

And known mystery,

"You searched for me in someone else,

As an illusion of yourself.

Yet you failed to look down,

And see where we met."

It was true enough,and yet I denied it" No".

"You lie, my dear"

It spoke lovingly, and I felt my tears.

"When you stand in dreamlight,

You look to the bright.

When darkness surrounds you,

You drown in its might."

The shadow became harsh and spoke with anger,agony.

"You see me not you fail,

I was ever by your side.

You didn't trust me,

Still I'll stay till end."

And then I knew what it talked about.

"You run from the present."

I fell down, tired.

It spoke.

There was more.

"I reflect your seen self,

But your spirit speaks through me.

I will not stay as light fades

But your strength will be.

It's not time to fall,

It's to reawaken"

It started to go,

As light went away.

But it would be with me in darkness.

Supporting as a modest friend.

" I will never let you down."

I promised, as its traces went away.
