The way the sun will disappear

behind the horizon

like the way you disappeared from my life.

Water-

The sound of water

dripping from a tree

birds chirping,

squirrels gathering food.

The sound of water

is more than you think

whether it be rushing or smooth,

running or dripping.

The sound of water

calm and soothing

nothing more, nothing less.

The sound of water

trickling down

icicles hanging

from a ledge.

A pool of water

full of life

surrounded by

the tranquil forest.

The sound of water

always ripples

through my heart.
