Soul Mates

Soul mates they say are meant to be;

I didn't believe it 'till it happened to me.

A piece of string attached between two souls;

Pulled every which way but the right way to go.

The string gets tangled here and there;

But never broke, it never dared.

The whisper of love hidden in a gentle breeze;

Covered by the innocent scent of purity.

When the strings finally collide;

The new couple slowly meets each other's eye.

It's fate and can't be argued with;

A life now filled with eternal bliss.
