I'm laying in my bed

Staring at the grey

In this room, above my head

The fan is breathing air on

Warm skin against my side

Soon this will be all gone

The faint white lights shine

Through my dark window, through my dark blinds

I stroke her cheek as she lay

There's peace in her sleep
