Solitario (TheKwan)

from my Collection: Gathering Dust

Solitario

My lonely heart thrives on pain.

It cuts itself,

Burns itself with desire,

For you.

My lonely heart oozes words,

Meaningless, frivolous, unhappy ones.

Mostly telling the story,

Of our love.

My lonely heart walks down a road,

In the moonlight,

Where the rustling of leaves,

Makes it forget the sound of your voice.

The cracks in my heart,

Call out your name.

Screaming and yelling into the dark,

But you can't be found.

One of these days,

This loneliness will consume me.

And when you'll cut me,

Loneliness, instead of blood will ooze out like a waterfall.

This loneliness keeps me warm at night,

Holds me tight,

And keeps me safe,

From you and your heartbreaking ways.

This loneliness gets me,

It heals me.

Each time you break me,

Apart in two.

My lonely heart and I,

Have foolish conversations.

And we sit in comforting silence,

When there's nothing left to say.

My loneliness and I,

Look up at the stars, some nights.

Hoping you can see the same pattern,

From your corner and then maybe,

We'd be closer than before.

This loneliness and I,

We're best friends.

Drinking buddies, really,

Who get high on the thought of you.
