Loving an ocean storm 

 Like stormy waves that consume 

anything in its grasp 

and leaves us to exhume, 

the things it chose to bury fast. 

Just like this is my love for you, 

All consuming, it leaves me blue. 

-drifting, rotting and alone, 

with no life jacket to be thrown. 

But maybe if I stay away... 

If in your waves I do not play, 

maybe then your tides will fall 

and I could escape, body and all.
