Respect for which lives

Stop. Respect the wild life. Dispose now your ill-intention.
Do you think you're better just because you think it?
Stop. Look at what you did. So young you are, yet look at the blood you've spilled.

A sin is lessened in the eyes of the living if it is done out of neccesity but this? This was not neccesary. Bend down now, pray.
Stop. Do you see it now? You think you're human and so automatically worth more and all else nothing.

Apologize. Respect the wildlife. Remember, deep down, you are the wildlife too.

You WILL respect me

The thing I've learned is if you give people a reason to step on you- they will.

So starting now I don't take bullshit.
No more lies.

I don't take fakes.
No more plastic.

I don't take punches.
No more abuse.

And the most important part.

I don't let no one get too close.
No more heartbreak.

I am wiser, stronger, keener, and bright.
You will not snuff out my BRILLIANCE.

And above all

you

Will

RESPECT

ME.

Whats age got to do with it?

I, during my sixteen years of life, have constantly heard the phrases

"respect your elders."

And

"listen to your elders."

And I through the entire duration of said sixteen years, have never once understood.

At which point in life does being older than another person make you more deserving of respect or of attention? 

Because from what I've seen thats exactly what the phrase means.

It is to force the youth to submit their own opinions and ideals and instead listen to their elders.

I have heard people can be wise from age.

But just as many people can be reckless and stupid until death.

And there are some born wise.

Born smart.

Born worthy of respect.

Age is not a barrier in these fields.

So tell me why you can slap my face and call it discilpine, but if I dare even shout your name I am the disrepectful one.

Invade my privacy in the name of concern, but dare I ask a question too personal, I'm labeled nosy. This is not deserving of respect.

And if your age means that it is, then this is not equality.
