"shame"

there lies no shame
in being unashamed

those who don't get that
simply haven't yet obtained
that shamelessness makes you

daring, makes you fear less, unstoppable-

being unashamed
is what i strive to be, unashamed

of my body, of my soul, sole being-
of my acts and my thoughts, my feelings and letting them

out. of everything i am ashamed of and close
out of me, hiding the key so that no one sees

because i am
shamefully ashamed
and i feel the fear of fearing to rest
just like this, a fragment
of what i could be if there wasn't

that constant little voice of
don't and you'll regret and
how embarrassed i feel
if i dare not be
filled with shame.
